Re: Sale playing at the reebok

Potentially 2 losses for Sale.

One on the pitch and the other on the balance sheet.

Re: Saracens v Leicester

True tb1 but I would venture to suggest that playing Grindal and Castro/ White does not underetimate them whilst achieving the rest stipulations. Don't forget that Youngs and Cole can be on the bench for Treviso and still fulfill the rest requirements. Also Grindal and White need match time in prepa...

Re: Saracens v Leicester

Also, if George has to be rested, does this mean we are likely to lose Ben Youngs and Dan Cole as well?
Under EPS rules we will have to rest them at some time. My instinct would be to start with Grindal and Castro (if fit) or Whitey against Treviso.

Re: > A difficult lock to pick

There is also Gulliver on loan from Cornish Pirates.

Also both Mafi and Parling can play blindside flanker so if we were to get short there we have a couple of quality replacements.

Re: Cockerill has to go

[quote]Cockers hates the young talent and we are paying for not playing them more last season, to gain experience.[quote] Sorry leic but you are obviously not watching the same person as me. As evidence to disprove you, what about Ben Youngs and Dan Cole last season? Or Matt Smith over the last 2 an...

Re: The 10-12 channel - a big problem?

Returning to the 10/12 debate. Whatever we might like we are going to have Jezza as the incumbent for most of the time Floody is out so we need to adapt accordingly. The alternatives at 12 are Allen, 36, Manu or Hipkiss. Hipkiss is more of an OC, Manu and 36 have great potential but are they reliabl...

Re: The 10-12 channel - a big problem?

I think we ultimately need a faster 13 who can act as a line breaker.
Potentially we have 2 such players already available, Will S. Manu T who needs time in the Prem to develop and Agulla who has played there for Brive and I believe also for Argentina so plenty of pedigree.

Re: Geordan to fly half

I agree with you Tigerburnie. Keep it tight and scrum them to death. I'll take a 15 - 9 win with all points from Jezza's boot at this stage of the season if needs be.

The pretty stuff can come when our 1st choices are back fit and the new boys have gelled with the rest of the team.

Re: Richard Blaze

I heard similar Purebob. Apparently it may heal but the next time he lands from a line out it could fracture again.

Re: The Orange One becomes a Pest

With 9 months on his contract a buy-out could be pricy and the Spreys won't budge apparently?
They have to recoup some of the money they are paying out in fines somehow.

Is that wind up or wind up? I.e. wind as in what you do to a clock or wind as in gale force.

What about Mafi? By all accounts he was good last night for the Development Team. I would have thought Exeter would be a good game to introduce him to the joys of Premiership Rugby.

ESPN website says Exeter match is live from 1645. I thought it was a 1500 kick off or have I missed something?
