Reverse Legends

The Fijian you were thinking about was Vunibaka. The problem was the fact that Tigers could not get a work permit because he had played for Fiji at Sevens but not the 15 man game.

Team structure

A couple of things to add. It emerged from weekend reports and Meyer's comments post game that they had intended for Flood to do the goalkicking but he devloped thigh trouble so they decided during the game that Hoogaard should take over. Please give Hoogaard a chance to settle. He did not have the ...

Chinnjamie there used to be a walkabout in Humberstone Gate but I haven't been down there for ages so don't know if it's still there.

Corry 6, Croft 7

Meyer is picking what he considers his strongest side. As he said if you win every game and therefore your group you qualify irrespective of bonus points. Also another win keeps up the away record thus destroying any away hoodoo, instills winning mentality which rubs off on the squad players and you...

Attack Coach

Murphy's Law is right. Give them more time to develop a game plan and gel.

That said certain basics like recognising an overlap and getting the ball wide to our strike runners should be inbult at this level and not need to be coached.

To be fair I watched the highlights of Quins v Irish and there was some good exciting running rugby and not all this kicking stuff we saw at Tigers on Friday. The only real difference in the Quins game was no rolling mauls but then again neither side has been a real exponent of that in the past. It ...

Ref School

GS refs are consistent. Consistently c..p when they referee at Tigers. I agree that something has to be done because it's spoiling the game. We always hear about referees assessors but given some of the abysmal performances over the past few seasons by avariety of refs not just the usual culprits (W...

New Backs Coach

One can only hope he will trun out like Pat Howard, Kafer was a disaster.

It's early days yet and he and the team are still getting to know each other. So I'll reserve judgement for now.

New ELV

"A Mark may be made anywhere on the field of play. When a Mark is made the side may choose to take a free kick from the point of the Mark or a scrum back from where the ball was kicked (their put in) " This would stop the arial ping pong! Bill is this under discussion or to be introduced or your own...

Can tigers beat Saints?

Yes, if they achieve the following: 1.Forget carping on about ELV's - other teams are scoring tries e.g. Harlequins, Irish, Saracens and Bath. From this morning's press reports they seem to be getting the ball wide to either score or set up tries. 2. Have a much greater desire to win than they showe...
