England v Wales

Will it be the same team? Or will we start with 2 proper wingers and a real 8?

I know the loose heads will probably be the same 2 Genge & Marler as although Mako is back is now in voluntary quarantine.

The one certainty is our back row will need to be at their best

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

I believe he will be I hope so, but Nadolo is better known as a wing so he could be May's replacement Oh I have no doubts that he’s been signed as a winger so yes, he could be May’s replacement but also he may not be his replacement. I hope we keep May and he has been signed to partner Manu, what a...

Tuilagi at 12? No!
Do you really think May will still be here? I truly hope he is, but I won't be holding my breath

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Excellent news, both potentially great additions, this probably means Singleton isn’t going to materialise but I guess Tigers won’t prepared to have just as a loan and also run the risk of potentially having both him and Kerr away for the Six Nations. I wonder who we have to thank for these signing...

Backline possibilities:
Youngs, Ford, May, Tuilagi, Nadolo, Holmes & Veaunu, what a centre partnership that would be!

Re: Were Exeter robbed?

Rob Baxter took this one very well... Apparently Christophe Ridley (referee) has privately apologised to to the Exeter DoR over the decision - which was to say the very least , open to interpretation. Wayne Barnes prior to the Bath game yesterday actually said it was wrong, not open to interpretation

Were Exeter robbed?

Having watched the game, that referee was going to play on until Quins scored the winner even if they had to play all night. If it wasn't Rob Baxter we would be hearing a lot more about the refing

Kalamafoni, Taufua, Taute and White all doubts for this weekend's game. The South African centre hasn't broken a bone so he can't be out for that long. Has the Gigena issue been sorted? 1 Bateman 2 Kerr 3 Cole 4 Spencer 5 Lavanini 6 Liebenberg 7 Reffell 8 Boladau 9 van Poortvliet 10 Hardwick 11 Olo...

Re: England v Ireland

No one is doubting that France played well and have improved dramatically. But pretending that it was all down to that is not actually balanced opinion. England made plenty of unforced errors - remember Farrell knocked on twice when he was nowhere near an opposition player. That's nothing to do wit...

Re: England v Ireland

Watching England v Ireland was like watching paint dry! A win today but England aren't developing to win a World Cup with Ewels playing at No8 in my opinion! He's a big fella but he is no Duane Vermeulen! I wish Tiger's were that boring at the moment The constant carping about England (and in parti...

From what I hear, they are prepared to pull all the stops out and provide a lot of things we've not had for a number of years, if at all in some cases. I also understand that the owner/...

Re: Captaincy

There seems to be a growing consensus on here, at first glance at least, that Tom Youngs shouldn't be captain now, so my question is simple, who would you have be captain? Personally I do not think it should be an England player that will be unavailable for large chunks of the season so that rules ...

No great loss, only really shows up when we win & that's before we get to his availability.

If we sign Alemanno it will be a considerable upgrade.
Have I missed something it's the first time I have seen Matias Alemanno linked with us?
