Re: Tigers v Quins (H) - Premiership - Saturday 11th November 2023 KO: 15:05

Pre match .. I was worried about Jaspers match fitness, as he has hardly played for weeks. I was right to be concerned, he just looked a shadow of a player we know he is. It makes it even more odd that he didn’t play v Saracens. The more games he gets the better he gets and we need him up to full st...

Re: Wayne Barnes

I’m sure there’ll several happy to buy him a pint wherever he goes (maybe not NZ just yet!) including me.. he probably won’t have to buy a pint for a while😃. The fact that he replied shows the kind of guy he is.
I wouldn’t be making the offer of a pint to Dickson any time soon!

Steward was also extensively used barring one game to my recollection.. busy during warm up games too.

Weisse and Youngs hardly played during tbe World Cup .. not even sure they needed a rest .. in fact .. Jasper looks like he needs a few games to get him fit again .. I think he’s been sitting on the sidelines eating all the pies .. or should that be .. Braais?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

We made a loss last year didn’t we? Raising the salary cap other than by inflation is an error in my view. Yes Sarries and Bath have wealthy benefactors that will spend up to and beyond cap but others including Tigers are still in a financially precarious position. The league has lost 3 clubs in a y...

Given Scotland’s cupboard is looking a bit bare in the Tighthead department once you look past Fagerson… could they come sniffing after Hurd?

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

I too thought we did better against Sarries than I expected given the gulf on team selection. The annoying thing was in actuality we could, in the end of done much better had we either executed the lineout better or taken the goal kicks. Shillcock looks a great signing as a bench 10/15 and cover dur...

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

Are we not expecting our South Africans World Cup winners back? .. I sincerely hope we are!! Weisse may need to come off the bench as he has hardly played and is probably very rusty .. but Pollard I expect to start .. otherwise.. why spend that money.. we cannot afford to lose any more matches .. de...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Some poor lineout drills .. that Saracens had obviously done their homework on .. Clare got a bit spooked by it . Actually towards the end with Dolly throwing to Henderson it seemed to improve slightly.. also Have to say Otoje played and absolute blinder .. just hope our returnees play with as much ...

Re: Wayne Barnes

Barnsey has been the best ref in the world for years .. and his retirement is a big loss to the premiership. Sadly he didn’t seem to come to Welford Road much in recent times. Anyway I have to say what an excellent ref he became and always seems like a very decent bloke too .. and it’s very rare for...

Mainly because the majority of law changes since 1980 have not improved the game .. to play or watch!

Re: Warburton's "Mark"

No lifting made the lineout much more of a fair competition based on the ability of the locks to jump .. the only advantage on put in was knowing where it was supposed to be going

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

I’m not sure why Wiese can’t play. He’s hardly played the WC and only played about 5 minutes last night .. He must have had the biggest rest from playing since he’s been at Tigers. I know there will be big celebrations but give him Monday off and getting back to work .. I would have thought he would...

NZ will blame the English officials.. I have a friend and a day there and they are bracing themselves for the onslaught!
