I actually thought there was some encouraging signs yesterday Tom Croft - massive plus - we knew he was an extremely promising young 2nd row forward whose pace might make him a quality senior back row forward - yesterday showed how much he has matured in a year and i look forward to seeing him in XV...

I think Gareth Edwards useually comes out top of most polls and I probably have to agree on balance - but it is virtually impossible to say and you would have to put Meads and Johnson right up there

There is a very interesting discription of Cockers Haka moment in Norm Hewitts biography - "Gladiator" - " As the Haka continued, the insults from the England players became louder and more numerous, their faces curling in contempt as the All blacks shouted out their ritual challenge. And then the E...

Re - Baa baas not being a full international remember in those days the baa baas invitation against the touring side was considered like a cap - this was virtually a Lions side with Tom David being the only uncapped player at the time,I think. The lions had beaten the blacks in '71 in NZ and the bla...

Stimmos most valuable kick was probably his touch line conversion in Paris of leons try - that forced stade to try and cross the line in the dying minutes The infurating thing about Stimmos kicking is the same as Goode - He would hit absolute belters and the miss a sitter - or usually the miss the s...
