Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 6

Firstly, Green will be no earthly use to us. Another journeyman. Secondly he was being roundly strangled if you fast frame the video so had every good reason to bite Webber because that was all he could do. It's been a while since the old "journeyman" insult has been trotted out. Well, if some peop...

Re: Happy Clappers moved on???

There have never been many happy clappers on here. There are quite a few who, when major change occurred, were prepared to allow some time for the change to take effect (hoping for the better). Sadly, those who predicted decline each time a major change occurred have had their predictions come true ...

Fair play to Scott, BOD, POC, D-Mac etc fairly well known, not really elite. Used to use OTY and YBY for the Youngs Have followed Tigers and 6 nations for nearly 50 years, Europe since its inception, Southern Hemisphere never. BOD well known. POC has become a bit obscure now that he is coaching, an...

Re: New Coach?

I think MOC lacked belief in large parts of the current set up, just my opinion going on the body language. He had no problem with bringing on the likes of Harrison and Tuilagi during his first spell with Leicester, if the quality was apparent then he gave youth the opportunity. (1) I can still rem...

Manu to sign new 3 year deal after turning down Racing according to multiple reports in France... Great news if true! If true, we really do have to thank England for this, he seemed to smile all the way through Saturdays game, he really enjoyed playing. I believe he may have seen all of the benefit...

Re: Scarlets and Ospreys

Truly bizarre, such a shambles. Of all the regions to merge they pick the two strongest with biggest traditions and history. Surely it would make sense to merge Newport and Cardiff? In some ways yes, however, Cardiff are "untouchable". For the money that has gone into them, as a club and region, ov...

Re: Wales v England

The way Ben Youngster played yesterday should signal the end of his England career, his kicking was well below the standard of a professing scrum half, his passing was slow and laboured giving Farrell no time to get the back line into the game and when was the last time you saw him make a sniping r...

What player with a long term injury?
Based on many of the comments on here, isn't every player that we sign long term injured, a journeyman or both :smt002 :smt003
Cagey you forgot to add a downgrade on what we have already :smt003

Re: Mark Wilson

It is increasingly likely that no club will go down this season. The RFU and Nigel Melville will need to do a complete U-turn for it to happen this season. Irish wouldn't be too happy either :smt002. Them and Ealing have already said they would look to mount a legal challenge. Next season, though...

Re: Use it from Nigel Owens

At the risk of introducing seriousness to the thread, I thought the 'use it' time limit only applies to rucks. So what happens if the ball isn't used from the scrum when Sir shouts? I think that partly it's a way of saying "I'm not giving a penalty or free kick, so get on with it". Don't know the l...

They turn the "training barn" next to the ground into a huge bar (room for hundreds!) with assorted areas for kids activities at the other end. Lots of standing room and a fair few tables. A bit soulless (which you would expect in a barn) but very noisy and more than adequate. A fair few food outle...

Re: Only 4 points away from 3rd.

Sorry to spoil things. Looked at the Aviva Premiership site and Thikipedia and both have us with 63 pts total (and 11 BP). As there are 4 pts for a win and 2 for a draw, the only way you can have an odd points total is to have an odd number of BPs, so definitely not 10 whichever way you look at it....
