Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Agreed it was incredibly short-sighted to appoint a totally inexperienced head coach. Please explain why you think it is short sighted? The way I see it is that changing coach after coach over the past few years didn't particularly work very well, and contributed to last seasons relegation struggle...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Bye bye Welford Road though. A price you’d be willing to pay? King Power wouldn't move the Tigers out or Welford Road, unless it was a temporary thing whilst major renovations are made Who says? It was on the cards 15 years ago and why would a sole owner want to have to maintain two similar capacit...

So Tigers recruit a head coach then recruit mentors, who are more experienced, to mentor a head coach?

Surreal, you just couldn't make this stuff up :smt043

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Why does Murphy need someone to mentor him, you are either good enough or not. Hiring Howard to mentor Murphy is an admission by the board that Murphy is not up to the job, and in my opinion he never will be. More poor decisions by a board of directors who have let the supporters down over the last...

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Board must go major change required, so club being sold.......must be a sell out, profiteering, lack of commitment by the Board. Coaches out of their depth, so quality additions appointed.......not more ex Tigers, being done on the cheap. Anyone else bored with the endless negativity :smt015 :smt01...

Re: New Kit

Canterbury is the best kit maker by a country mile, playing kit is great but the training kit is brilliant. Most on here whinged like mad when we had Canterbury though so I don’t think anyone can win!! Well, they did give us “the bib”. And a black stripe. And horizontal pin-stripes. And the orange ...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Tigers is now, since CVC deal debt free, still has loyal support and is a respected brand. A good time for any investor to sale before another miserable season starts to add debt and decrease brand status and value. Clearly the investors have little faith in the prospects for the team and hence the...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Cohen has stated that the sale will help Tigers return to be one of the top teams. Yet in the same interview, he states that as Tigers have always spent up to the salary cap, the sale won't have any effect on the team on the pitch. Things don't add up here... are you familiar with the term: "non se...

:smt003 And obviously, winning it gets you into the Heineken the year after. But Tigers won't need that. We'll qualify automatically via the league. Maybe even as champions :smt002 :smt003 Now we know where Ellis9 went to ? :smt003 He/she wouldn't have put the smilies at the end :smt023

"...............choose to withdraw sponsorship. That is their right." Of course it is their right, but this is symptomatic of modern society; all that is needed nowadays to ruin someone's reputation is a media indictment. Being tested in a court of law no longer means anything. You have said it you...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

There is a lot to be learned from a player like AWJ. He is far from being the most talented player that you'll ever see but neither was Johnson and it's said that he was a great leader and presence to have. Could be the kind of presence and attitude that has been missing since the undermining of Co...
