Flags as hand luggage on Ryanair

Has anybody taken a Tigers flag as hand luggage on Ryanair? I have got one, with a wooden handle about 2.5 feet long. We are only going to Dublin for the day so do not have any luggage for the hold and want to know if it will be deemed 'dangerous'.

BOD doesn't think Tigers only play 10 man rugby

“Leicester Tigers are coming over so the RDS will be packed out to the brim, there will be a great atmosphere. “They have also done some good work with the pitch making it more suitable to running rugby which is how we like to play it and the Tigers have the same mindset.” Ful article at http://www....

Breakfast at Tiffanys? Arriving in Dublin early Saturday

Me and the missus are flying from East Midlands on the 6:35 flight on Saturday morning, then taking the airport bus into central Dublin and will be arriving some time not long after 8 (hopefully). Having set off from home at around 3:30, we are going to be ready to murder a decent full Irish Breakfa...

I must admit that by now I would have thought that Andy Goode's inconsistency would be accepted by all. It is just part of how he plays, like his long kicks (even if they are not always in the desired direction). When he does get it right, his kicking in particular, he is capable of things that very...

Based on what he said when we beat them in the HEC last season, plus other post match interviews, Dai Young seems to be an inveterate moaner who always thinks that the Blues are better than they really are. It has amazed me and my Llanelli-born wife for quite a few seasons now that he has not been g...

I could be totally wrong about this, but I have a memory that Seru played at centre for some of his first games for the club, before his big injury lay-off. Can anyone confirm that?

I felt that prior to the RWC final, Tait had been reasonably solid in defence, but had not show much in attack, partly down to not getting the right chances, whereas Dan had brought something different in style and closer to what I expect from a centre. In the final however, I felt they both played ...

Haven't read the article and not really interested. Just getting fed up of seeing articles by Dayglo. He seems to do more interviews etc. than the rest of the England team, coaches and RFU bods put together :smt015

From the BBC article:

"It was the fact Mark has played a lot of international rugby in the back three, and we expect a fair old aerial bombardment on Saturday."

Sounds like BA might have worries about how Matthew Tait would deal with the high kicks as much as anything else.

There have been a number of posts about who should or might retire immediately after the RWC. One of the names mentioned was Simon Shaw. In an article in The Times recently, his view was that choosing when to retire was only for those who had had a long and settled international career (e.g. Jonno),...

I general I quite agree, although I might quibble over one or two timings in your lists. One thing to remember is that many of the young players who are coming through, and that we would hope will be there for 2011, have had relatively little international experience and will need quite a few older,...
