Iain, if you go with Ryanair to Venice, they fly you into Treviso airport, about 20km northish(I think) and about an hour bus ride - it was painfully slow when we went a few years back

HEC rankings and 2008-2009 tiers, some thoughts/speculation

While all is by no means done and dusted, there are some bits we can start putting together: Tier 1 Guaranteed: Munster. Plus Toulouse, Biarritz and Stade Francais (assuming they all qualify from the Top 14 - which is quite likely, especially as France now have 7 teams). Plus two from four: * Tigers...

Congratulations Bill W - rugby guru!

You've made it into a national newspaper!! :smt003 :smt005 :smt023 From the many comments about Jonno's appointment on this forum, you were selected to appear in The Times today - printed and online: “Right, Martin. Time to place boot behind backsides.” Bill W - Tigers.co.uk Full article at: http://...

While I do not post on here that often (still only a Tiger Cub), I do come on here most days and have done for a few years now. I have to say that I have never had any complaint about any of the moderators on this forum at any time whatsoever. That is something which I cannot say about every single ...

Deja Vu? Back in November after the Cardiff game in the EDF I wrote: "I must admit that by now I would have thought that Andy Goode's inconsistency would be accepted by all. It is just part of how he plays, like his long kicks (even if they are not always in the desired direction). When he does get ...

Could be my fault that we do not get much info :smt022 I think that it was at the beginning of last season (or it may have been this season), that regular articles were posted re injuries. I e-mailed Marc Heywood (who had posted the articles) and said how nice it was to get regular updates. They sto...

Although I now live in Lincolnshire, I used to live on Aylestone Road where the Infirmary car park is now. I always watch EMT on Sky to keep up with all things Leicester related. Something I have noted over the years is that EMT is biased towards Nottingham (nothing to do with the studio being in No...

Premiership 15,000 minimum ground capacity

In The Times this moring, it says that part of the new agreement is that all Premiership clubs have agreed to have a minimum ground capacity of 15,000 by 2012. There's a few clubs going to have to get their expansion skates on aren't there? Going round geographically-ish I think I am right with the ...

Is there any more information available anywhere? I caught a bit on BBC East Midlands Today last night where they mentioned 3 stands and 30,000 capacity. I appreciate that until they get planning permission, there is no point going into a lot of details, but an outline of what is hoped for would be ...

Our party of 4 will be on the same flight, and are going to use the same bus service as you. I don't suppose you'll be stopping at Bewleys as well? Bewleys? Might do but as it has not been mentioned before, could you give me some info? :smt023 And thirsty? :drinkers: :smt002 Not too much, going bac...

Flags as hand luggage on Ryanair

Has anybody taken a Tigers flag as hand luggage on Ryanair? I have got one, with a wooden handle about 2.5 feet long. We are only going to Dublin for the day so do not have any luggage for the hold and want to know if it will be deemed 'dangerous'.

BOD doesn't think Tigers only play 10 man rugby

“Leicester Tigers are coming over so the RDS will be packed out to the brim, there will be a great atmosphere. “They have also done some good work with the pitch making it more suitable to running rugby which is how we like to play it and the Tigers have the same mindset.” Ful article at http://www....

Breakfast at Tiffanys? Arriving in Dublin early Saturday

Me and the missus are flying from East Midlands on the 6:35 flight on Saturday morning, then taking the airport bus into central Dublin and will be arriving some time not long after 8 (hopefully). Having set off from home at around 3:30, we are going to be ready to murder a decent full Irish Breakfa...
