Looking at the teams I thought it would be a thrashing as well.
Haven’t really seen him play much but from the match day commentary and other write ups appears that Costelow is a real star. Anyone there able to confirm? How did he compare to Grayson?

Re: TV coverage affects results
It was strange how the TMO's words mirrored Healy's at both the controversial incedents, the try and the linout. Agree with that. My understanding is that the TMO gets the pictures and not the commentary. Either way it does still definitely mean the broadcaster can influence a game by either highli...

Re: Championship Rugby
If they ring fence the Premiership I will give up watching it at that point apart from the play-offs, the rest of it will be just exhibition matches. As for merging with Wasps that will also kill it for me. I used to be of the view that ring fencing would ruin the Premiership but more undecided the...

Re: Murphy coaches and relegation
I’ve seen him say it was a good decision on BT a few times even after he was sacked. Whether he actually thought it or was just toeing the party line is impossible to tell.voice of the crumbie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 7:55 amAnd your concrete verifiable evidence for this is what?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
On Ford he would be a big loss but not irreplaceable, he'll be wanting most likely around 500,000 this season and that could buy you any 10 in the world pretty much. Not convinced that’s true - who are better/similar 10s that we could realistically get for that sort of money? (Honest question) Poll...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
I’d go as far to say that the only priority is Ford, he’ll be irreplaceable and is integral to Tigers at the moment. May and Youngs I wouldn’t break the bank for, both are good players but wouldn’t be the end of the world. If May did leave would want a more physical winger Pacific Islander style. 1...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal
Interesting that Allianz is reconsidering sponsorship, pressure from them is the only way I see a change in behaviour and some actual humility. Though they may just hope the storm blows over. The Saracens brand is seriously tarnished and winning games and championships won’t change that. The one act...

Re: The World Cup Final
Hopefully Ford stays at 10 but as the reason Jones picked Farrell, Tuilagi and Slade against Australia was because of the physical nature of the game, I have a feeling he will do this again for the final bearing in mind who the opposition is. Difference for this game is that kicking will be key and...

Re: ENG vs NZ - RWC Semi
Have to give Eddie Jones a lot of credit for getting England this far. Picking Tom Curry out when he was just a teenager, leaving out Cipriani when everyone was clamouring for him not to, and also think cutting the mercenaries in Teo, Hughes, & Shields was big. This team just seems to have much more...

Re: England WC squad
I think Cipriani's misdemeanours plus his poor points kicking stats (Twelvetrees ended up with the responsibility at Glaws) probably did for him. It's been a while since he played 15 and although he could do a job there Jones doesn't like his secondary playmaker at 15 he likes them in the midfield....

Re: England v Wales
I really can’t imagine that Mark Wilson won’t be starting the big games. I’m excited to see how Ludlam gets on. Yeah generally agree but will be interesting to see if Underhill & Curry is viable. I suspect the selection of McConnochie is a lot to do with his aerial ability as well - expecting a few...

Re: England v Wales
Selection of Ludlam in the squad now makes sense. Seems Eddie is considering going with the Underhill & Curry combo in backrow. Will be interesting to see how goes in this game against the much vaunted Welsh backrow.

Re: Spencer and White for England
For Cipriani could it be because he’s in the training squad?
