Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

If Hamilton left it would be a massive blow for Tigers. No reason he couldn’t continue his international ambitions with Scotland still playing for Tigers. His stock has greatly improved this season and feel we should offer him a contract which reflects that.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

For me currently Hamilton and Kalamafoni are our best backrow players with Mapapalangi coming in a close third. Evans is coming through but no one else has really stepped up this season, granted Williams and O’Connor have had their injury problems. Hoping them both can regain their past form of seas...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Agree with the above, definitely need a backup 10/12 player who can slot in when needed. Mills would be the top of my list, always impresses when I’ve seen him play. Feel like I wouldn’t be too bothered if O’Connor and Fitzgerald leave. Feel they are surplus to requirement and no longer fit the game...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

We already have a hard running no.7 in Hamilton who before he got injured was on great form. Tigers best backrower alongside Kalamafoni at the moment and we definitely will want him to extend his stay. Thompson would be a great back up 8 though. Have always been impressed by him whenever I’ve seen h...

Re: Wasps v Tigers

Agreed on the above, Holmes has to play at 14. 5 tried in 4 games and has the ability to pop up anywhere in support and score. Given Tigers in general are poor in running support lines in my mind is a must starter. Against Bath especially was also strong in defence and had the pace against Wasps to ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Ryan I think will prove a lot of people wrong when he returns from injury. Can jump in the line out, play blindside or opensides and is massive in defence. O’Connor on the other hand I wouldn’t be that bothered if he left. We have Evans coming through and O’Connor has never reached the heights that ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

If Tigers sign Mafi and Ryan comes back to fitness we have more than enough options at backrow. Don’t need anyone else

Re: Wasps v Tigers

Kalamafoni was massive for Tigers ball in hand and him and Mapapalangi always seemed to get over the gainline. Great to see them both back in Tigers shirts. Thompstone I don’t think has hit the heights he did last season which is understandable given his injury. Holmes deserves to start at 14 next w...

Re: Wasps v Tigers

Does anyone know when Ryan is back? Thought he was getting back into the swing of things and played his best game against Quins. Is it not until January he is back from concussion?

Re: Tigers v Worcester

What happened to Mike Williams? A few seasons ago in my opinion he had the potential to be the best blindside in the premiership and had made the EPS. Would have been a cornerstone of the Tigers pack at 6. But this season he has got nowhere near the level we know he can play at. Carried loads agains...

Re: Tigers v Worcester

Barrow and Kitchener got a lot of stick at the start of the season but hopefully they can really impose themselves on this game! Hoping for big performances from them both!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

This is no slight on McGuigan as I like him as a player but would pick Thacker every day of the week. Thacker is extremely talented around the park and is only going to get better at the set piece. Given a few years and can see him as the Brits style of player. In regards to Mulipola, at his best wa...

Re: Tigers v Sale Sharks

Who won the battle of the opensides, Evans or B Curry? Curry IMO. evans played well esp in attack but Curry in defence is something else, the way he can hold up players. I think Evans did pretty well, he certainly carried much better than Curry and looked like a bit more of a jackal, Curry tackled ...
