Re: No Dan Cole in the England training squad

Why hit the panic button? People weren’t talking like this when England were on their long unbeaten run, largely under Jones’s stewardship. He’s testing and embedding players so he has options in a year’s time, and/or he’s getting players on the fringes used to his preferred structures. All his pre...

Re: No Dan Cole in the England training squad

Poor England squad for me. This whole year we’ve been blitzed at the breakdown, yet Jones doesn’t pick Underhill and Kvesic in the squad and we’ll have the same old slow pack with a lock at 6. Exactly, he seem to have gone through the same pattern as Lancaster and just keeps picking the same player...

Re: No Dan Cole in the England training squad

It’s a training squad , not the squad for the AIs. That's true! However, an important one with Mitchell introducing his defence plans etc. I think that EJ has been trying to find a Dan Cole replacement for a while now, and it will be interesting to see where this leaves him.Williams seems to be fav...

Re: Tigers v Warriors

I think we should be starting as strong a team as possible, I don’t think any team can be under estimated in this league now, and clearly the players need to get their match fitness up having come in under cooked. With Spencer out I would start wells although I don’t know if either him or Williams ...

Re: Spencer banned for four weeks

[/quote] You're saying that Spencer should have accepted his guilt and plead guilty, that's your perfectly acceptable opinion. But accepting guilt and pleading guilty of the offence with which he was charged would have resulted in a 3 week ban. Disciplinary panels have clear guidelines that they can...

Re: Eastmond

Lose a world class centre and replace him with Eastmond. Beggars belief, that sums up Tigers player recruitment in a nutshell :smt009 I’ve got to agree with everyone else, I think the board has bought in the best player available in that position, Eastmond in a international centre with a playing h...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part Deux

https://www.ruck.co.uk/transfer-news-kyle-eastmond-closing-in-on-new-club-at-last/ Can anyone tell me if there is any substance to their rumour because I believe Eastmond could be very good for us in the next few seasons with the world cup approaching and their being a lot of players away if he can...

Re: Next Season!

Not convinced about Denton & Spencer, as I said before why did Bath not rate them, in my humble opinion they are average signings. Sometimes players don’t work out at certain clubs, in certain systems. How many players have we released and they gone on to be great players at other clubs. Spencer wa...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

Billy Burns has signed a 2 year deal with Ulster, he’s looking to play for Ireland, as he’s Irish qualified apparently, I can’t blame him for leaving Gloucester after they signed Cipriani it was always going to limit his game time.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 1

Eggchasers podcast have tweeted this "Hello all. Small off season roumor. Toomua back to Australia to play tri nations. He's signed for rebels for their next season although it's unclear if he will be back for 18/19 or 19/20" Chekia said in an interview a while back, that if Toomua sign a pre contr...

I wouldn’t be surprised if McGuigan doesn’t try to get himself a move to Scotland, after he had such a break though season last year.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

The Times reporting Chris Ashton has signed for Sale Sharks Thats surely going to cause some problems there, you’d imagine sale are going to have 3 wingers all looking to get the at best one England wing spot, Solomona is currently there, and you’d imagine Yarde still fancied his chances, but then ...
