Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Arguably I don't think it did. What does privileged mean in this context? That’s fine if you think that and re your second point I was referring to his independent school upbringing. Really? I mean REALLY? Get the :smt100 chip of your shoulder man and come up with a better argument that’s that. The...

Re: France - end of season round up.

Many thanks for keeping us updated Robespierre :smt023 While it's fairly easy to keep up with the goings on in the Celtic League in its various guises, the Top14 is a pig if you hate Sky (I'm willing to be informed differently :smt003) and won't pay for Sky Sports. Its nice to know who might be com...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

With the acquisition of Green, Lavanini joining Spencer and Wells plus Jordan and Lewis I just don’t think we need Alun Wyn Jones better than Bristol, they want a statement signing, they’ll get it. He is a great leader but I think even he will struggle in a team barren of leaders (only Ford/Thompson...

Arguably I don't think it did. What does privileged mean in this context? That’s fine if you think that and re your second point I was referring to his independent school upbringing. That is pretty pointless comment when it can be referred to most players. I’ll use it for most players.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Yes RB you are correct however Jones was preferred over Itoje which arguably lost us the series in New Zealand and went at the expense of Joe Launchbury who at the time was playing better rugby than Jones at the time and I would argue still is a better lock-forward, but experience and leadership wi...

Re: 2019 World U20s

BFG it could happen, but World U20 success doesn’t equal national senior success necessarily, the U20s might continue to select posh boys and player’s sons and do really badly but as long as the likes of Tigers Academy are bringing in players and they’re selected at national level England could stil...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Undoubtedly he’s a successful player, but he’s probably past his prime, has barely player for Ospreys and is in a position where marquee signings aren’t a priority, I know de Villiers who ended up barely playing for us did really well behind the scenes but should we paying the big bucks for that kin...

Re: 2019 World U20s

Jack Willis was never capped, Sam James is a good player, I recalled him playing well in a Baabaas game, but would you have him ahead of Slade, Tuilagi, Marchant? Unfortunately Sam it is a difficult ball game.

Re: 2019 World U20s

Rus Tuima - Younger sibling of England’s women international Lagi (who is pretty darn good to be fair) Tom de Glanville - Son of Phil de Glanville, who was Sir Clive’s first captain of England Ollie Sleightholme - Son of former Saints winger Cameron Redpath - Former U18 Scottish international, son ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

I don’t think Tigers would sign him, which I doubt they would, but if they do I would no longer support the club and cancel my season ticket. I just don’t want someone who condemns the LGBT+ community to hell under false religious grounds playing in a Tigers jersey.

Re: Match thread - 8th June 2019

Sevu Reece has not made himself available for Fiji because I guess he wants to see whether the All Blacks pick him, I believe he qualifies on residency. Also if he gets selected for Fiji he would have to move clubs as NZ has strict rules on the number of foreign internationals in their squads (that ...

I agree with you '89, it should be that way but unfortunately that's not how it works.
