Re: Tigers' Players in the Media

Maybe the debate over money is not being aimed in the right direction. If the cap limit hadn't been inflated and then exceeded over the past few seasons then clubs would not have been under so much pressure to compete, everyone could've cut their cloth accordingly and perhaps more money would be in ...

Re: Salary Cap changes

Maybe it will stop clubs paying big money for second rate southern hemisphere players and concentrate on good quality English qualified players. As we know some clubs have also regretted some of their less successful marquee players, who don't look so good in our league. We need to also stop sloggi...

Re: World Calendar seems closer

I think that the potential negative impacts on the English club game do need serious consideration. Easter, Whitsun week and July/August are peak holiday times for much of the younger generation and families. My retired Father in law is a season ticket holder and he always goes away in January and J...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

Yes I also thought that Jones article was mostly drivel. Flankers have been moving to prop for years anyway. Most pro clubs stadium pitches are fast grounds now be it a firmer base or completely artificial. Talk of the different skills is a rather confused subject not least given that the most sough...

Re: LTTV next week - Club Doctor - Any questions?

From both a playing and medical perspective, what change would you like to see to make rugby union better?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

That's good counterpoint. Although I do think that has also been Exeter's limiting factor in Europe. Hence why they have signed Hogg and Richie Gray Yeandle has indeed been a superb player for Exeter. Yeandle is a club's dream player very consistent but also knows his limits. He gave Cowan-Dickie a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Not sure I agree RB because that's not what I see when I look at the Exeter squad.
What I do see is cumulative strength based on hard work and built by a quality coaching team.
I wonder if players like Jack Yeandle would even get a mention on this topic but what a superb player he has been for Exeter.

Re: New Rugby Coronavirus Laws

Correct me if I'm wrong BFG, but I think for once you're agreeing with me. The risks of coronavirus, like all the usual boring day to day risks like driving and walking down stairs, can be mitigated against with a cautious approach - we don't all need to stay at home forever or cancel all sport for...

Re: New Rugby Coronavirus Laws

Some just don't seem to have the filter to reason.
The virus spread can be mitigated with a cautious approach.
Similarly risks are mitigated by driving to the conditions or sleeping downstairs when half cut.

Re: Ticket Refunds

Could clubs offer subscriptions to season ticket holders to show matches via a secure online platform?
It shouldn't really be an issue for television as season ticket holders would usually be in attendance anyway.

Ok, I'm going to bite... a) You end a sentence asserting that other people need to calm down by using not 1 but 3 exclamation marks!!! b) You agree that the topic of Olowofela is no longer interesting and not relevant to the thread - then you continue discussing the topic of Olowofela. c) Olowofela...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

With reference to no specific post on the matter, the Jordan O debate has in my opinion gone past the point where it is of interest. Perhaps a separate thread for those who wish to continue the discussion? I prefer to see posts on this thread which relate specifically to transfers in and out and te...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

I'd back Wells alongside Lavanini and Green.
He is nearing his prime and a rather good coach is on his way.
Then there are some younger.
