Re: Sir Barnes

No need for all that! :smt017
The picture shows all that needs showing, which is the tackler and tackled player on the floor and the tackler still holding the tackled player.
is that an infringement or not?

Re: Sir Barnes

No I know you’re off your meds When others look at it again and see where I'm coming from you'll look slightly foolish to rush in and be so hasty to judge! No I won’t but I don’t expect you to accept that. Like the occasion you tried to convince me that numbers 6,7 and 8 formed the back line of the...

Re: Sir Barnes

You watch your game BFG the rest of us will watch ours How anyone could see the Nowell incident as accidental just beggars belief! The bloke is clearly held and bent backwards on the floor by the tackled player and it's a clear penalty and potentially worthy of further sanction. If the tackler rele...

Re: Sir Barnes

I have already covered going off their feet, it is endemic in the game and won’t changed unless the law makers do so. What high tackles and shots, examples please, because the 4 officials didn’t see any, and in fact the only serious injury in the game was a complete accident. What would you rather ...

Re: Sir Barnes

With respect I disagree, for me Barnes is just another ref that tries to coach players through a game of rugby instead of just sticking to refereeing it. I've little doubt that this is all with "game flow" in mind on instruction from a higher authority but I do find it off putting. Standards have d...

Re: Sir Barnes

I sometimes wonder why some people bother watching rugby as whatever the subject in discussion is, they always have something negative to say about it. Not a lot of point in wondering if you believe it to be negative. It is what it is! Any ref who can allow the breakdown mess that took place yester...

Re: Weekend match thread - 31st May 2019

Both BFG and JP14 nailed it. I would add BK out of the sphere of direct influence. The lack of conditioning not due to MOC being late, but to a kick up the bum needed to conditioning and coaching staff in general. After watching the final yesterday I believe pro rugby has entered a slightly unknown...

Re: Weekend match thread - 31st May 2019

You look at Exeter’s pack on paper, player for player they’re nothing special, however they are incredibly well drilled and as a unit better than the sum of their parts. Look at Tigers pack for next season, we need some of that coaching and fitness levels in order to compete. As I said before,it wa...

Re: Weekend match thread - 31st May 2019

I thought the Chiefs really upped the physicality for the final today and certainly left it all out on the pitch. Got away with quite a bit of going off their feet both in front and beyond the ruck in my book mostly in the first half but fair play as what the ref allows on any given day are the limi...

Re: Weekend match thread - 31st May 2019

It's not boring but Barnes refereeing of the breakdown is poor, anything goes and especially Exeter launching like missiles!

Re: Boring Sarries, boring Exeter

Anyone who doesn't notice and respect how hard Sarries are prepared to fight for every inch needs a slap! Ah yes, such an eloquent argument well made. Respect is earned not bought with extremely favourable interest rates. It matters not how much folk think it might've cost, the fact is that the eff...
