Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

The old saying 'you get a different result if you iron a dirty shirt, than when you iron a shirt that has been washed" is apt. It could just be that whilst some other clubs are making short term decisions to alleviate the pain, the Leicester Board might be credited for washing their shirt before ir...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Could I just ask those posters who are constantly criticising the club for the way they have handled this to explain what they would like to have happened instead? I would be interested in hearing an alternative approach. Playing it out in the press is not great but it has been determined that this...

Re: 31 redundancies

I was very sorry to hear about the 31 people made redundant.
Tens of thousands were made redundant in the UK yesterday.
Here's hoping that the banks repay the favours owed to the taxpayers that helped them in the past.

Re: Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers

I always thought a Leicester Tigers game pass (for those who are aware of american sports) would be a smart idea. You could Show Pre-Season games on it A league games Maybe the odd U18 game Interviews Have documentaries on it. Maybe try and open up the entire Tigers video achieve on it also. charge...

Five or six players who cares, at least they had a choice.
31 people did not.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

There is an article in the Telegraph stating that players had instructed lawyers and are speaking to other clubs. Manu, Taufua, Reid, Bateman, TV and Eastomnd are mentioned. It will be interesting what the thoughts of Borthwick are. He knew he had his work cut out but i will imagine this is a bit b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Scouting around and I still cant see international player x,y,z contemplating leaving team a,b,c. I'll repeat again, why is it happening here and nowhere else, everybody is in the same predicament! Why are we in such dire straits compared to every other club?! Leicester is a big supporters club and n...

Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?

Perhaps George has told Danny he is the best thing since sliced bread & is a better player than Dan Carter, Phil Bennett & Barry John combined. Note to Danny most of us think multiple England coaches might be more correct about you.. I think they'd be correct if they'd won a World Cup. As it is the...

Re: Ackerman leaving Gloucester?

Does anyone know what Cipriani's contact has been with Skivington as a coach to be so gushing in his praise and delight in the announcement? He played with him at Wasps. Unsure if Skivs work with LI or Samoa will have been of note to Cips particularly. He does seem very excited far more so then the...

Montoya is the sort of hooker that can help make props look good.
Add him to Genge and Leatigaga and it could get messy.
Scrum, maul, carrying, pressure, pressure and more pressure.
Brute force, that can also play a bit.
Did that not used to be our forte?
I think so.

Leicester need some added stability, a big solid physical presence with strong basics, a Kruis type if you like.
It looks like Enever has been identified as such.
