Re: PRC Round 3 - Bath vs Tigers

FYI the tackle needs to be complete with the tackler holding on to the tackled player not slipping off. Then and only then does the player have to release the ball. This didn’t happen the 2nd tackler slipped off just before the tackle was complete. Don’t expect you to agree but that’s the law and t...

Re: Canada Embarrassing?

Pundits getting angry with canada at half time for playing badly and making a poorly judged clear out. What do you expect when a team with players from below the championship have to play NZ and SAfrica in 6 days, without having the opportunity to play either of them outside world cups? If you want...

Re: PRC Round 3 - Bath vs Tigers

Pretty obvious none of the Bath defenders had held White. Pretty obvious that he was tackled. He is flat on the floor. FYI tacklers aren't supposed to hold tackled players on the floor, but tackled players need to release the ball to recycle or to get up and go again. No wonder the breakdown gets v...

Re: PRC Round 3 - Bath vs Tigers

Looks like a red card but who can tell for sure on that and no further ban for me based on that footage. Refs can get it wrong on first sighting, for example Owens stating at the time that he thought the Lavanini tackle was good. Expecting to see more red cards this season and players ducking into i...

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

Lavanini is so big that a nice bear hug under that ball would be more suitable.
It's not really tackling players like Farrell in a defensive rush where he will be most useful to Leicester anyway but it's encouraging to see an incoming lock attempting it.
Tigers v Sarries should be a bit tasty.

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter

Sir didn’t have a clue, even Austin Healey had a better understanding of who was doing what Think opposite to what Healey spouts and you'll be right more than not! I usually do but Sir was certainly clueless when it came to the scrum penalties I thought Sir got it about right. Forget what you see a...

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Aussie fans in uproar on Instagram saying that your quite entitled to lead with your forearm of the non ball carrying arm. No you’re not it’s in the laws of the game. No wonder there is so much confusion when the 2 hemisphere seem to play under different laws Don't we often seem to play under diffe...

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter

Wonder if Liebenberg and Coghlan at 6 and 8 is a sign of things to come when Taufua comes back? Taufua been playing well at 8 in the mitre cup. Hopefully we can see 1. Genge 2. Youngs 3. Cole 4. Lavanini 5. Green 6. Liebenberg 7. Thompson 8. Taufua Before Christmas. Any idea yet which position is s...

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter

Thought the ref was bad for both sides, let Thompson get away with a blatantly obvious hands in the ruck to make a turnover, we were quite lucky to retain possession for a third try but refs like to enforce a no hands policy in the red zone, I thought the scrums were even and he just didn’t know wh...

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter

I was at the game. I hardly recognised a Chiefs player, they have a monster squad as it was a very tough game. I thought that Leicester looked sharp, clearly working very hard. The scrum and ball carrying will be the main concern until the World Cup is over, I thought that Reid was pretty smart at t...

Re: England vs USA

I'm looking forward to seeing how England versus Argentina plays out.
Lots to be interested in, a scrummage contest, Itoje versus Lavanini, Farrell's tackling technique against a side that will have decent possession etc.

Re: PRC Round 1 - Warriors vs Tigers

Selection in the coming weeks might be a little different, possibly a few more established players introduced, a few more new senior signings, and a few younger who perform well despite the results.

Re: PRC Round 1 - Warriors vs Tigers

I will, as I have for over 40 years support Tigers home and away through thick and thin. Tigers do need time to rebuild but, in my opinion, putting teams out that are likely to get a drubbing does nothing at all to improve the confidence of anyone playing or coaching. One of the things admitted in ...
