Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Just turned 21 in April. He's a quick lad for a forward of his size, and did play wing before being moved. https://youtu.be/ToF8GNczc-c?t=12 Shows his speed here. Well in my opinion you back it then, not seen much myself but I am sort of surprised it hasn't already been backed given how bad last se...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Must be about pushing 22 this year, doubt he'll suddenly fill out now without an everyday pass to Mr Kipling, that'd test the legs some.
If he is genuinely quick then back the horse and don't make it lame, in my opinion.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

AWJ isn't the greatest individual rugby player that you'll ever see but he sure can lead a team. Whether he'd be a great signing though remains to be seen as the temptation to play more locks at blindside might continue for a side that has had more holes than a teabag in it's defence. Only senior l...

Re: England XV v Barbarians

You’re talking about instinct. Ben Youngs has it. Just look at some of the tries he has scored and created over the years by using his instinct. No I'm not talking about instinct. I'm talking about the things that equate to instincts being good. I'm referring to things such as acceleration, desire ...

Re: England XV v Barbarians

This is the last comment I'm going to make about 9's as what will be will be. Leicester need next level and on current viewing I do think the level could drop. Scrum halves are so important in setting the tempo and direction for the team and a massive part of that with today's fitness levels and de...

Re: Sir Barnes

I don't believe TY intentionally did anything wrong in the Chiefs red card incident. Ironically that was the only time one of their players rolled away all game and it was just bad timing. Posters are talking about Sarries but Chiefs are far worse!!! Agreed! First minute of the match and the Chiefs...

Re: Sir Barnes

Barnes is without doubt the best referee but he, I am sure will agree that he is not always right. In Tiger's matches this season he has denied an Olowofela try against Gloucester, accepting without checking the interpretation of the TMO, he has missed a very obvious knock on followed by a forward ...

Re: Sir Barnes

I don’t think we need yet another law introduced to the game. A player makes a tackle and when the tackled player is on the ground, the tackler releases. That’s the way it’s always been. It’s a very simple law and one that doesn’t need to be made more complicated. There’s far too many complicated l...

Re: France - end of season round up.

Top14 semi-finals (both in Bordeaux): Saturday June 8th - Toulouse v La Rochelle Sunday June 9th - Clermont v Lyon A Toulouse v Clermont final on the 15th? Anyone's guess, no predictions from me! Brive could be one of Tigers' opponents in next season's Challenge Cup! They beat Grenoble 28-22 in thi...

Re: Boring Sarries, boring Exeter

Yeah, it was terrible wasn't it. Had trouble staying awake. And the play offs are such a terrible idea. The League winners should get the Trophy. Not! Great game. Great final. Well done Sarries. Jealousy will get you nowhere. +1 :smt023 Great game - well done both sides. But the play offs are in ge...

Re: Sir Barnes

How anyone could see the Nowell incident as accidental just beggars belief! The bloke is clearly held and bent backwards on the floor by the tackled player and it's a clear penalty and potentially worthy of further sanction. If the tackler releases on landing on the floor when he is supposed to do ...

Re: England XV v Barbarians

Haha! I honestly thought our lads would get smashed after last year! Boy am I wrong so far To be honest I also thought it possible. The England energy had been good. Mallinder looks to have made some clever selections given the fixture with some very hungry and quick players against some older legs...

Good spot I did say Barbarians by the same :smt005
No matter as few expected this.
The Barbarians do look a bit ragged.
England with the bit between their teeth, let's hope they can keep it going.
