Re: Exeter Chiefs

Tigerbeat you can't talk about Exeter name and brand change without really talking about the other stuff. It's the nature of this discussion. I was thinking similar. It's a difficult topic. More emotive for Exeter people. I try to imagine what it might be like if I were of Native American origin an...

Re: Exeter Chiefs

Saying that anyone who uses the term political correctness are casual racists I read it as "PC gone mad" is the first resort of casual racists, and I wouldn't disagree with that to be honest. Perceptions often differ. I read down the replies on Twitter to Ludlam's picture being used for Genge yet a...

Re: MATT O'CONNOR

Good idea to create his own thread to keep things on topic.
I thought O'Connor was a good interviewer, the only issue I had were the camera angles changed so often that by the time his show finished I looked like Nookie Bear.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Not sure I agree with some of the comments re Cocker and M.O.C years, a lot of young players came through at that time including Manu, for me the main problems started when Anthony Allen and Manu both got major injuries at the same time, Billy Twelvetrees had already decided that he was behind them...

Re: Interviews

I didn't mind the changing camera.
I'd even do a zoom in and out next time, and a picture of Eddie Jones in the background.
It's all good fun but for those lacking any H & B are doing buy one get one half price on mood tablets.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Stop all the discussions re Manu - as I said over a week ago - he will engage in brinkmanship AGAIN, before agreeing to stay - https://twitter.com/midi_olympique/status/1279803512126418949?s=21&fbclid=IwAR2pBrd5VZGfhZHTrut0YXir98Lf5YrUqgA8P0-w008Re5QharQ_CLcFUj8 Midi olympique is rarely wrong Good ...

Re: Steve Borthwick

So, Severus Borthenstein - Half Blood Prince of Darkness. Hopefully not too disrespectful. We had a Boss once who we called Prince of Darkness on account that to go out for a drink with him was a road to drunken oblivion for everyone except him, as he always seemed to remain completely sober regard...

They are linking Jones leave the England job to coach Bezier, Gatland to coach Tigers, Borthwick to go to Toulouse, Stevie 'Steve' Diamond poached by Racing 92, Manu is going to Worcester, or not, my Aunty Jean has been signed by Saracens and Inspector Clousseau has been made Editor in Chief of Rug...

Re: Season Tickets

I must admit that the only 2 times I’ve had any minor issues have been in the Crumbie. On both occasions these were gentlemen of a certain generation who at the end of the match, were happy to stay in their seats and chat, and pack their rugs and seat cushion away, but were a little rude when asked...

Re: Manu Tuilagi

I don't want to appear negative as the door is still open for a change of heart/mind. If players are generally not sure then fine- I would possibly need all the time I could get to make a life changing decision. If it is purely to hold the club to ransom - then - Bon Voyage mon ami. Because 31+ had...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

The question may now be for Steve Borthwick - which of the 'Sidelined Six' would you wish to keep if it became possible? Quite possibly the easiest answer is to look at who you want to face Don Armand, Ollie Devoto, Henry Slade and Co in a few weeks! Someone genuinely committed to the Club would be...

Re: It's not just Union!

If my memory is correct the salary cap per club in league is way less than union. £2.1million I think. The salary cap in League used to be a percentage of turnover that the Clubs took. This was to protect the business function and the playing function. I reckon that is how it should be. It also enc...
