Re: Ryan - no HIA??
Watching on the TV live it was surprising that no HIA was recommended by the TMO, I thought after the George North incident the medical staff has someone to watch the TV feed to see stuff like this. Also the players who were shepherding him to position in the scrum should have has the nuts to have a...

Re: A wish for just one player
On current form we could wish for and get any 15 top players from the Premiership and still get stuffed, we already have the players we just do not have the gumption, and that comes from the top, the board were not happy when RC was winning stuff as it was not Champagne rugby! Now we are playing sta...

Re: The BBC - a continued failure
In reply to Noddy, workers were never bothered with Rugby, an interesting fact is that Association Football rules were drawn up specifically because landowners and factory owners were concerned that too many of their workers were being incapacitated due to broken legs and ankles when playing footbal...

West "not popular with senior players" Shock horror! Not popular with anyone, is the more accurate observation.

Re: Message for George Ford.
The excellent development of Williams and Burns should also be viewed against a very disrupted midfield for a couple of seasons, I am not sure how GF would have coped with that.
Great player that GF is he will have big boots to fill next season, I wish him every success.

Re: JPP
I have been a little underwhelmed by JPP, he is good but seems to be doing everything at 80%, OK so 80% of classic JPP should be enough but there seems to be a little reluctance in everything he does. He is still a very good player but maybe reaching the end of the journey, if the hunger is only for...

Re: Aaron Mauger rumour
I have every respect for Aaron Mauger as a player but his coaching credentials were more on hope than his record, his appointment destabilised the coaching team at Tigers and the style he wanted was good for sunny days when all your best players were available and on form but for a dreary away trip ...

Re: Toby Flood red carded - not happy!!
If you listen to the audio it is the TMO who is insisting it is a red card offence, the ref did not seem to agree but the TMO was insistent. I thought the TMO was there to advise the ref not to order him about! Personally I think the red was justified if there was contact with the head, yellow for t...

Re: Is there a better way?
I find it a bit quaint that the ones who were bemoaning our boring forward dominated play a few years ago and despite the success that it bought were calling for a more exciting 15 man game now applaud Baxter for these self same one dimensional tactics, the only reason I agree that Cocker's had to g...

Re: After the dust...
Slightly off topic but Grindal was a player I was never impressed with but when he came on, against Neath I think, the Welsh guy I was sharing banter with asked who the replacement scrum half was I told him he is the worst player on our books, Grindal then picked the ball out of a ruck on their 22 a...

Re: Did the Board sack the wrong man?
To get a view of our current malaise, look at Vereniki Goneva, he scored 41 tries in 87 appearance, in last years European cup he was the joint top try scorer. Would any other premiership team allow a diamond like that to be signed by Newcastle, no of course not, please do not blame RC for allowing ...

SCW
Has anyone else noticed that our decline exactly matches the appointment of SCW to the board, no I do not think that is either true nor the root cause of our decline but SCW and RC have an acrimonious history. I do wonder what part he has played in all this, nothing good you can bet, maybe it is tim...

Re: When? Why?
Personally I think tigers and the fab base have been slow to accept the changing fortunes, RC was being criticised a couple of seasons ago for playing risk-free forward orientated boring rugby. He took that on board and recruited AM to bring in a more dynamic, open, exciting type of rugby. We are re...

Re: The Tigers business model
I for one fully support the business model of the club, we are still a team to beat and as the cash starts to flow from the car park and hotel it will set the club up to once again compete on the big stages, Where Wasps, Sarries and bath will be then who knows. I despair of the posters on here who c...

Re: Daly 3 week ban
Totaly agree regarding sentence reduction for wearing a suit, the offence carries a tariff the tariff varies according to severity of the offence, I cannot see how remorse, apologies or not eating the biscuits have on this. Previous should only be used to increase the penalty not reduce it, a first ...
