Re: When? Why?

Personally I think tigers and the fab base have been slow to accept the changing fortunes, RC was being criticised a couple of seasons ago for playing risk-free forward orientated boring rugby. He took that on board and recruited AM to bring in a more dynamic, open, exciting type of rugby. We are re...

Re: The Tigers business model

I for one fully support the business model of the club, we are still a team to beat and as the cash starts to flow from the car park and hotel it will set the club up to once again compete on the big stages, Where Wasps, Sarries and bath will be then who knows. I despair of the posters on here who c...

Re: Daly 3 week ban

Totaly agree regarding sentence reduction for wearing a suit, the offence carries a tariff the tariff varies according to severity of the offence, I cannot see how remorse, apologies or not eating the biscuits have on this. Previous should only be used to increase the penalty not reduce it, a first ...

Re: The old Harry Thacker debate

I suppose it is the nature of internet forums but some here take an opinion about something or someone and take any opportunity to air that opinion, Harry Thacker by virtue of his size must make the scrum weaker, just like big hookers make it stronger, of course technique comes into it as well but a...

Re: Calum Clark - Again!

Would it be too much for Northampton as a club to issue a statement saying that they disassociate themselves from the actions of this player and commit never to pick him again, It is only through the quick reactions of O'callaghan that saved Clarke from a very long ban, the club and management shoul...

Fully support the recommendation to use the ignore option, it has stopped me from quitting the forum which a certain poster was spoiling, they may still be spoiling it for others but at least I don't get to read the bile they post.

Re: Use of the Shepherds crook

The commentators said it was tactical! the only wincing I saw was when he got robbed on the high ball.
Also I thought marque players could not be someone already on your books, a silly rule that I hope has been changed.

Use of the Shepherds crook

From a coaching perspective I was impressed by Cockers replacing his marque player for an academy recruit, it showed that no one was immune from the shepherds crook, if you are seen to be slacking.
Can anyone remember such a public statement of discontent by Tigers management.

Re: IF Cockers were to go...

Interesting thread if taken in the right frame of mind. Until the Bath game many would have rated Blackadder above Cockers, but the game was lost by Bath by not competing at the breakdown so a coaching error turned the game (IMHO) also in my opinion Cockers would top many other teams wish list, Dai ...

Re: What's up with Ayerza

The Bath prop (Thomas)was hinging at the hip and pulling Marcos down, not taking the push, it was clever as it made it look like Ayerza was at fault it fooled the ref, not hard to do with most refs!

TMO at scrum time

With the availability and reliability of drones why cannot the TMO have a aerial view of each scrum, he could then ping anyone not pushing end to end and watch for boring and loss of binding, the TMO is not doing anything else at the time except having a cup of tea. It would free the ref up to watch...

Re: Simon Cohen's well chosen words ..............again

It is an interesting dynamic, organic sustainability or large injection of cash from a single individual/group. But looking at the bigger picture to grow the game it needs not only to hold onto the audience it has now but to grow it. That means improving the spectacle, I do not mean 5 tries to 4 tri...

Roly is nothing if not consistent, Tigers / rubbish, Sarries / wonderful, it makes for a sad background noise whenever the forum is visited.
