Re: Referees

TMO's are the new refs. The ref is just the officiating person with a whistle. He is reliant on TMO and BT sports for decision making. Can we not limit the number of times in a game where we can call on TMO and let a ref get on with it. Surely the game will fow better and then the line officials wil...

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

I think the big difference between the two teams. Tigers seam to have adapted better to the rules and in general have reduced the penalty count. Glouc can give a lot of penalties away. Which may give us the platform. Tough game. Hope the officials officiate or is that now the job of the TMO ( being ...

Re: London Irish

Positively an improvement in energy, commitment and aggression. Set piece functioning well. Squad rotation working with differing players and in differing roles with little drop in performance is only going to aid us in the future. Nadolo has soft hands for a big unit. For me a real positive signing...

Re: London Irish

A statement of intention...thank you...... :smt026 If we apply the effort of the previous games with an incremental improvement then with that squad we may get a W. I think it will take a full 80+ mins of effort. Oh if we could get a Bonus point. Sorry dreaming of wonderful thoughts. I can't wait ti...

Re: London Irish

Li will target a W against Tigers and field their strongest available team. Most want us to target this as a chance to get a W and to field our strongest team. I can see the argument for doing this. SB is his own man,he will do what he thinks is in the interest of the teams development. The counter ...

Re: Teams up v Bath

If we are using Man U in this forum as an example then surely..
"Borthwicks Babes" would have been appropriate for the team playing Barff.

And may well stick for the foreseeable........ :smt023

Re: Teams up v Bath

If Barff are looking to progress, surely not scoring against any team for the last 53 mins of a game is a real negative. Especially as they fielded a greatly international biased team.Plus a heavier pack. I take the effort of a new look, young team to be a real positive. We finished strongly and for...

And then your ticket price will increase. Then who gains.

Re: Team for Exeter

I am still optimistic for the future. This season (barring top 4 placings) is over, isn't it? SB is looking at the bigger picture - getting to know his players "under fire in the heat of battle". Surely he has to manage his squad over the next few weeks with midweek games to consider. Maybe he is un...

Re: Championship clubs to break away?

The briefcase contains the plan to get Sorries back into the Prem . A new raise in the salary cap to keep the Sorries squad . His contract with Sorries starting with their promotion. The start date of ring fencing to allow Sorries a chance back into Prem. And the plan to get the RFU to be the Sorrie...

Re: Championship clubs to break away?

Excuse my ignorance.... My questions are:- Which season is ring fencing being implemented? Which clubs are ring fenced into Prem? Does this mean Sorries have got out of jail free card? What will happen to the Sorries internationals who have just signed contracts if they are ring fenced into Champion...

Re: Borthwick - " Welford Road is a special place"

No nonsense. Say it as it is. Keep it simple. Don't mess or else.
Great to see he believes the heart of Tigers IS Welford Road ( the right end). :smt035
