Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

I guess Hughes main selling point is more his physicality, like Thompstone did before. They are both very aggressive in the tackle.

and whilst not the main selling point of a winger it's a good counterpoint.

Hughes looks to be a great addition for the 6N period and perhaps beyond..
second.
Big chance to earn a contract if he plays well over 6N

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

Never understood people desire to lay into White, rather sad.

Sure criticism, but for some it feels personal almost.

Have Tigers ever fielded a more naive, inept 9?

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

For the talk of his defence olowofela looks a lot stronger ball in hand than he did at senior last season.

Deacon
Kitchener
Parling
Slater
Mafi

Looking back it's funny all 5 of those players form at the time would be starting for Tigers now pretty much,.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

I think people view Lewington as a young player still.
He will be 29 years old next season.

Rather see what Hughes can do and give him a chance, before thinking of signing Lewington.

Re: Nemani Nadolo

Last time he played in the Premiership he managed 4 games, scored no tries, and was sacked after being found guilty of drink driving. He turns 32 in a couple of weeks, sounds like an expensive luxury who, because he relies so much on his physical attributes, is only going to get less potent as he g...

Isn't Lam on 20 tries in 30 games for Hurricanes?
and 12 tries in 20 games for wellington

and was top try scorer in the 2018 season? beating Naiyaravoro.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

On Ellis There will be a question mark on Thompson with age and fitness. Kalamafoni may also be getting offered a lower deal and as with all lower deals there is always a chance that someone will offer them more. Lavin, Gough and Smith technically are not in their final year senior academy, they ten...

Re: Leicester Tigers Academy thread - 2019/20

Contracts wise i could see
Hooker: Vanes
Prop: Rowntree
Lock: Singer
Back Row: Smith, Muncaster, Ilione
Scrum Half: Edwards
Centre: Smith, Potts
Wing: Lugsden

getting contracts at least.
