Re: Has Rugby Got a Refereeing Problem?

Karl Dickson was a pro player and he seems to get slated as much as any other ref.

Re: Has Rugby Got a Refereeing Problem?

Often when you watch a game they show the statistics of how many missed tackles a team makes. Which is just one of the errors they can make it. Then think about how many poor decisions the ref made in comparison. Especially now with the TMO there are actually very few errors.

Re: PREMIERSHIP ROUND 11

They said Yeandle has played 200 games without getting a yellow card. That's quite impressive.

the more it winds the rest of us up the better he likes it.
Might be a by product of how he works but I don't believe it's anywhere near his main driver.

Re: Suspensions

https://www.englandrugby.com/governance/discipline/disciplinary-decisions Just been reading the decisions on Wiese and Liebenberg. Wiese is even luckier than I thought to be eligible again after 4 weeks.... Turns out he'd fractured his finger and therefore possibly going to be missing due to injury...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Bristol injury update: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/bristol-bears-injury-latest-ahead-5039286 To be fair that is what I would call "injury ravaged". If we were a bit further down the road you'd expect us to win but given we are still a bit frail and missing a few ourselves I...

Re: 20th Feb 2021 - Home vs Wasps

Getting feisty: Blackett has hit back at Steve Borthwick, the Leicester director of rugby, who claimed Wasps players were calling for red cards during a match that saw the Tigers win 27-8. Leicester players Jasper Wiese and Hanro Lienbenberg plus Wasps Kieran Brookes were sent off and Blackett said:...

Re: Progress Under Borthwick

I’m just enjoying us winning a few games if I’m honest ! Style of play is one thing, but seeing the desire and passion of the squad is a real joy. I’m even enjoying the losses, when you can see the players putting a shift in. Yep, this is where I am at. And looking forward to more layers going, as ...

Re: Charging down a conversion

Was it still technically a charge down as he didn't kick it :smt017 :smt001 Whilst by the letter of the law the kicker took "a step" towards the ball, it was a tiny shuffle and I am surprised Saints weren't sent back. Still, he'll be more careful next time and I think he would have missed anyway :sm...

Exeter's pitch

Looks worse than ours did that infamous year.

Will suit us when we go down there next month.

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Absolutely nothing to lose in this game as obviously Bristol will be strong favs but we are building slowly and with a fair wind and all that.
