Re: It’s been a bobbyfight - Tom Youngs

I'm not so interested in deconstructing the analogy that GM used, the message is much more important and to me it conveys a fighting spirit. This season looks to be far from plain sailing but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter. It's great to watch a team where the coach has faith in the young...

Re: Captaincy

There have been several prop captains at international level, I suppose Phil Vickery was he most recent for England. The qualities needed for captain vary with the player but choosing the captain needs a good knowledge of the personality of the player and I don't think many of us fans know the indi...

Re: Captaincy

I wonder why Dan Cole has never been touted as a potential Captain? I could see Genge emerging as a candidate.

Re: Eastmond

I'm actually pretty happy with this given the circumstances, with the 45-0 defeat to Bath still painfully clear in the memory, I remember Ford and Eastmond linking up pretty well. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/29227473 It'd be nice to see the young lads like Hardwick get more of a chance t...

Re: New kits for next season

The home kit is awesome, I just ordered a classic shirt. I like the alternate one as well, the reference to Deep Purple is great!

Re: New Kit

Regarding the printed badge on the playing kit, I don't see why some people are unhappy. The playing kit should be designed and optimised to perform best for the players on the pitch. That said, I hope there's a classic version with a nice embroidered badge....

Re: Loughborough University students will represent Tigers in the 7's.

As a Tigers fan who is also a Loughborough graduate I find this hugely exciting and I have no doubt it will benefit both parties in years to come. The culture around Tigers fits rather well with the winning mentality that is ingrained in all the sportspeople at Lboro, not to mention their world clas...

It's here!

The big event is finally here! :smt041 I know a lot of people take issue with the squad selection :smt019 :smt024 and there are those who are a little underwhelmed by this world cup but now that it is here, it is time to put those issues to bed and get behind our team as we welcome the world to the ...

Re: Pumas saturday.

I seriously hope this is well short of the actual turnout. Here we are hosting an international XI as well as celebrating & supporting a fantastic world class player. Elsewhere on this forum I see numerous posts debating this or that player renewing his contract or leaving for France or Bath or Sar...

Re: Cipriani Rules....

I don't know why Lancaster bothered to include Cipriani in the training squad. He couldn't have done much more in the time he was given on the pitch, especially reigniting the team in the second France game (I'm aware France changed their team around as well, affecting their flow a little) and getti...

Re: World Cup Ticket Failure

I love watching live rugby, (especially when the team is playing in green, red and white) and I'd love to be able to go with my wife and daughter to experience watching England at the world cup. I am lucky that I can afford to pay the ticket prices but I refuse to out of principle because I think us...

Re: New kit

I am a little surprised by a couple of people saying that they'd only buy the shirt if we'd won silverware - how fickle can you be!! I know that Bill can speak for himself but, I would imagine that when you have supported Tigers as long as he has, buying a new shirt every season would require huge ...
