Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

We massively missed Veainu this year through injury, I genuinely believe he is world class at FB. We have lacked clarity in the game plan (assuming there was one) and the 2nd row and back row have been light due to injury and lack of depth. I'm very excited about some of the signings, particularly L...

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

I like Murphy but this is a results based business, close-fought or not, the better team usually wins. We’ve got some class players, one of whom has been nominated as England player of the year. If the coaching staff can not conjure up a game plan to enable them to demonstrate the skills that built ...

If it’s true that Shazam is off then good luck to him, we’ve got a lot of quality at scrum half but I’ll still be sad to see him leave.

Shaun Edwards

He's been touted on here as good potential addition to Tigers' coaching staff, it's interesting to see that his planned move to RL is off, I wonder if there has been any contact:

Adding on to what westy154 was saying, I also live in Nottingham but support Tigers, mainly because Nottingham always steal our best players from the club I play for.
I live in Chesterfield, over 50 miles away and this is still very much Tigers country

Re: Peter Tom article

I could be wrong but I'd imagine, when he refers to 'keyboard warriors', that he's probably referring more to Twitter trolling than posters on this forum. Some of the comments on Twitter can be pretty appalling at times. I've seen a few comments on Facebook as well which have been posted by some in...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Ford has reliably been our best player this season Totally agree. Management, and decision making along with his skillsets, often under estimated when trying to operate as a playmaker between a pile of dis-functionality in the forwards and dis-unity in the backs. Ford would make an excellent captai...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

I think the captaincy should be given to Farrell full time now, as Hartley would struggle to get back in this team. Nothing against Hartley, he contributed well to Jones’s initial success although I always preferred OTY at 2 for England.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

I sincerely hope that Manu stays at Tigers for as long as he is in England, ie until at least 2023. I genuinely think his best seasons will be the next four years as he is wiser and spends a lot of effort on conditioning. I really do hope Tigers do everything they can to keep him and don’t subscribe...

There seems to be some uncertainty over which will have more impact - a letter or a petition. My rather novel approach is to sign the petition AND write a letter! :smt031

Re: Classic Shirts

My classic short sleeved shirt arrived today. It is labelled as an XL which is what I ordered - as that is my size, I’m not obese so I normally have plenty of room. It is definitely not an XL as I look like the only gay in the village in it. Please bear this in mind the dodgy sizing if you planning ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

I'd love it if we signed Etzebeth as a marquee player. We've got more than enough quality in the back line (even without Toomua) and bolstering the pack with a beast like him would surely enable us to get the ball to them more often. The prospect of Etzebeth alongside Spencer is pretty mouth-waterin...

Re: Classic Shirts

About a month of the delay was caused to a typhoon I think, which delayed shipping and if that's the case there will be some sort of force majeure type clause in the contract to cover this, so the suppliers cannot be penalised. When I contacted the shop last week I was told last week that it would b...

I have a feeling that Spencer's return will have a big impact - the line out should improve and he's a cracking player.

Classic Shirts

Has anyone managed to get hold of a classic home shirt yet and if so, what is the quality like? I ordered mine online on 27th July and I'm being fobbed off by the club shop. I appreciate that it is the suppliers who are about as proficient at their commissioned task as my dog is at practising calcul...
