Re: Tom Youngs Verdict

Apology and the case was closed as per Tempest. The RFU are pathetic!! No, they’re only pathetic if they take no action against Pat Lam. They took action re: Pat Lam, they gave him a :censored: award! The RFU are a bunch of useless stuffed shirts who have it in for us and are the worst perpetrators...

Re: Let it lie….

So, according to the Guardian, RFU are investigating SB’s behaviour but not Pat Lam’s. If true, this sums up everything that’s wrong with the way the game is overseen. Will Carling was right all those years ago….and it’s clearly still true today that the blazers who run our game are more concerned ...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

I don't think anyone was suggesting that Tempest was in anyway biased, merely that he bottled a situation where many refs would have given a penalty try. Presumably because he did not wan to decide the result. He handled the situation with Afoa quite well when the benches were arguing. Once the sit...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

Kerr is a hooker and it was a prop that was required. Kerr never came back on at the end of his sin bin, Capon stayed on. Capon was made a permanent replacement which regularly happens. Kerr could not come on to play prop as his specialised position is down as hooker. Are the prop specialisms hande...

Re: Refereeing Consistency

I wonder if we could instigate a fan's league table for "sirs"..... And TMOs for that matter. We are requested to rate players....... Fan's favourite..... Who would be the fan's unfavourite! Could be a race to the bottom :smt044 Refs may require ringfencing :smt044 It seems to many, myself included...

Re: PREMIERSHIP Round 21

Saints 26 - 19 Chiefs, the difference between Chiefs today and Bristol yesterday (in terms of their success against high mid-table opposition)? The surprisingly competent whistlework of Craig Maxwell-Keys... Yes,he's getting better all the time,Dickson easily the worse ref in the league now! That's...

Re: Bristols bloodgate?

Goodness me, a lot of fans on here posting about Bristol cheating etc, etc, etc. We have a long history according to other club forums of cheating re Neil Back and lots of other instances, all the teams who have been successful in their era have been accused of cheating in their heyday, Bath in the...

Re: Bristols bloodgate?

There's a lot saying it's not the same level as bloodgate but why not?

Bloodgate saw a team engage in subterfuge and lying to manipulate the team on the pitch using regulations that are meant to safeguard players from the pressure to play through an injury. It was the same this afternoon.

Re: PREMIERSHIP Round 21

And Wasps win it! Being checked but we could be looking at Lam to do us a favour next week 🤮 No chance they’ll be playing a b team and resting everyone before the SF Yes,blown it mate. CC rugby it is,we won’t win at Wasps, everything will be stacked against us. I don't know, Tempest had to engage in...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

I think so..... It's less dubious than Bristol's antics. Take your 2 smallest backs to the scrum and have Genge, Wiese and Nadolo to run at them! I like that option..... We should have let them cheat and worked the consequences to our advantage. It all got a bit hot headed and testosterone laden. T...

Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021

Just why didn't we let them go down to 13? Big Jasper off the back, suck 'em in and Wallop. More the principle I guess. When someone is cheating right in front of you it's hard to let them get away with it even if the other option might be favourable (Although Bristol did an early push and the ball...

Surely Lam will be cited for bringing the game into disrepute, his lying was clearly heard whist on camera.
Post match interview he had changed his story but continued to lie.
Well, Deano got 3 years for Blood gate, card gate has to be in that ballpark...
