Re: This offload is just Filthy!!!

Not sure if I'm correct but I always thought that if the player in contact with the ball carrier was in touch then so was the ball carrier. Tackler's foot was down before the ball was released That’d mean a lot of rucks in the corner would be ruled out too It'd be another application for the Sarrie...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

I would like to see a history of our results up there. My not inconsiderable gut tells me that other than the 2 dreadful seasons we have always done pretty well up racking up some decent scores. My memory does play tricks though. From 2001 to 2009 we had a dreadful record there, P8 W1 D1 L6. Since ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

I wasn’t suggesting SB is planning on throwing the Wasps game! I was simply pointing out that if we went into the final round with a guaranteed home play off, his overriding priority would be on squad preparation for the week ahead. I’d like to think we have the strength in depth to beat Wasps with...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00

We don't rest players at home. Want the undefeated league season at home. Ideally Leinster will be the only blot on our home record this season. I doubt SB cares a jot about going unbeaten at home - he will be entirely focused on his squad hitting the playoffs in optimum condition. There’s no troph...

Re: Glaws after compensation from Wuss

After reading some of the judgement which can be found on the link below there's no wonder Glaws are trying to get their money back.... here's one quote (which is disputed) from the report. At about 3.30pm (after the Match had been cancelled), they spoke again. What was said is not agreed. Mr St Qu...

To be honest, I'd have been delighted to have had Dickson instead of Raynal at the weekend!
To be fair it has been a bit bizarre-o-world with refereeing performances of late...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO

Some on the Leinster forum seem pretty upset that we’ve dared to question the referee or comment that we were better second half. I mean, obviously they took their foot off the gas and just had some defensive practice !! Some useful tips on how to keep the scoreboard ticking over and how we should ...

Re: Weekend Games - 29th April to 1st May 2022

You've got to feel sorry for Bath though, haven't you? Just a little bit? That was us a couple of seasons back. Why? They weren't exactly sympathetic to us in our dark times... Yeah......you're right. I had a moment's fit of conscience over the hangover cure coffee, eggs and bacon......but it passe...

Re: Weekend Games - 29th April to 1st May 2022

Care unlikely to get a ban.....usually a ban for three yellow cards where they been given for physical fouls (late tackles/ high tackles / fighting etc ) rather than technical offences (deliberate knock on, offsides etc). Faint hope but perhaps he'll get cited for chopsing off at the ref on his way...

Testimonial is a great idea! Maybe a few other legends might want to come and play, make a day of it at MWWR. How would we start drumming this up and getting it out there? Be a great idea!
Perhaps a Youngs XV vs Youngs XV? Both to mix old faces and new in the off season somewhere?

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022

I think that we may be taking the moral high ground a bit too quickly here. If we were out of Europe and had nothing to play for in the league, I suspect that we too may have put a stronger team out and gone for the silverware. If we had already secured top 2 and a home playoff, I also suspect the ...
