Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Pretty sure the cap is spread out as an average so clubs can’t front or back load them. Granted they can sign new deals but won’t be contractually obligated to sign or be offered a increased rate Without trying to sound rude, do you know this for sure? My friend is very well informed and was pretty...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I heard no further ‘significant’ incomings, that’s why I think it’s possible we could move some on to bring in the likes of Moroni. Also heard from a Pal at Bristol, something I’d not considered, in that contracts need not be linear, he said some of their players had agreed deals over 2/3 years wit...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Moroni is unlikely unless we lose someone to make cap space, as we are apparently spent up. If we are at the cap level, some of our squad are earning too much. We are definitely not finished announcing players. What the club have said is they are spending the cap, they did not however say that all ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Others have said it before on here - I think Handré would benefit greatly from another distributor in the backline. Kelly is the closest we have to that, but he's by no means a playmaker. Kata, Perese and Moroni wouldn't offer that either. Moroni is unlikely unless we lose someone to make cap space...

Question, why do people feel Pollard is leaving us? I'm not sure he will. I think we'll try and extend him. He's marquee as such he's paid more than most. I know he's just had a kid which means he may go back to SA, but I genuinely think we have like a 50:50 chance of getting him to stay past next ...

And you are welcome to your IMHO - although I’m not sure why that entitles you to call me glib, but there you go. They are not calling you glib, they are calling your generalisation glib, and they have a point. McKellar will be responsible for the results if they are ultimately not good enough, the...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm

At the end of the day it’s not Dan’s fault, what other coach could cope with 23 weeks in a row, a World Cup and the players being fatigued because they have not played enough. Poor fella never stood a chance, next season no World Cup and hopefully the players don’t get fatigued, perhaps just get the...

Re: New Supporters Forum?

As someone who as at the Access All Areas event with McKellar and Wilkes, they were specifically asked to confirm that we will be spending up to the cap. It was quickly confirmed as yes we will be. However I am dubious given the signings announced and who is leaving, unless we have a raft of re-sig...

Two massive points One, he seems to have lost the dressing room, and the result tonight will go a long way to decide that factor Secondly, its blooming obvious the majority the players are not nearly fit enough. Youngs is a prime example. Shocking for Professional Athletes, but its the Head Coach w...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm

To be honest, it does feel a bit of a missed opportunity. Woodward is going to be in the Senior Squad next season anyway, so would make sense to have him on the bench over Phil C. FTT over Dolly makes more sense, especially as they are similar players and Whitcombe should be starting over Van Wyk. ...

I agree, but, if he has got the dressing room we could see a good performance and maybe a famous win. The selections and his comments this week is beginning to make me wonder if he has ‘lost the dressing room’

The Prem rugby site states there is <1% chance of making the play offs. So there is a chance… :smt041 Yes it requires the following... Tigers 10 points Bath to pick up 0 points vs Newcastle or Saints Exeter & Bristol beat Quins Sale losing to Sarries That means we could get in to the playoffs o...
