Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns

It was the bit at the start that made me think he wouldn't be coming back soon. Around the start of 2019, George Kruis asked England coach Eddie Jones for a private word. At a time when most players were wondering whether they would go to Japan for that year's Rugby World Cup, Kruis wanted to talk a...

Re: Other European Last 16 Ties

Surely as a minimum it should have been a penalty for playing the 9 before he gets the ball out?

But yeah, look reckless and citable to me.

Re: EUROPEAN RUGBY - Revised Format

Why? Ours carried on through our last lockdown, which is only just loosening off now.

Karl Dickson is an international referee.
I like the fact he deals only in facts. Doesn't say he's a good referee, just that he's an international referee!

Re: Injury/Suspensions List

Just checked the video to the game and it seems the quins player that Banahan tackled got straght up and didn't look injured to me!!

Going on the severity of the injuries to the player is ridiculous too! So Banahans accident caused more damage than Hepetemas shoulder to the head so he gets a longer ban?! Laughable!
Banahan injured himself!

Banahan, Hepetema and Van Wyk were also basically the same thing
No way. Accident and on purpose are very different in all walks of life. They all need bans in order to make the game safer. But something done on puropose should be a much bigger ban. The Hepatema hit was disgusting.

Slade can’t defend...... :smt017
He's missed an awful lot of tackles of late. Really being targeted.
Who are you referring to?
Probably Slade....

Re: Injury/Suspensions List

I don't really get the secrecy behind injury's or Borthwick hard line stance on it. Not sure what his point is.
It used to be that tigers were just rubbish at updating us and now its just telling us we don't need to know cos its private!

Bit wierd if you ask me...

And don't forget about a Certain Mr Back, who scored a drop goal for England against Italy.

Re: Bonus Points

I think we should be pleased we are winning without our England players. We are, well I am any way. But I think the bonus point thing is interesting when you see quite large points differences between teams with similar or the same amounts of wins. Gloucester are rubbish at the moment but have 6 mo...

Re: Bonus Points

I'd also point out that Quins and London Irish both have draws adding to points tallies. I did say that skew'd things slightly, and obviously the games called off for covid skew it even more but we should still be looking to* gaining as many BP's as possible. Like others say though, if this is what...

Re: Bonus Points

Just picking this up again as I've just been veiwing the current table and was surprised to see that we have as many wins as 3rd placed quins, and 2 more than LI just above us. I know they have draws which skews things slightly but I deffinitley think we need to start trying to target the BP's a bit...
