Re: Borthwick

Tiglon - obviously you are correct in terms of league posisitions past and present, no one can deny that, it's fact. But it isn't the whole story. MOC couldn't even be bothered to turn up for preseason, so the squad were woefully under prepared and we got thrashed. Geordie was asked to take over and...

Re: New Kit

Adidas make most of the NZ super 15(?) teams kits if not all of them and Harlequins kit as well. They also make the Lions kits if I remember correctly. RRP of our replicar jersey is £60 Adidas Quins ones are £65. But I reckon the quality would a way better. I like the current kit design, even the ch...

Re: Borthwick

Relegation from the Premiership was never a worry for Tigers until Murphy was HC. Fact. Personally I think this happened or at leats started to happen under MOC, especially as he never bothered turning up for pre seaon!! Murphy job has been to try and stop us getting any worse. Its taken a while an...

Re: Borthwick

Pleased its finally been confirmed, and also pleased with the Murphy DOR appointment as he's been clearly been doing some good stuff behind the scenes even if out and out couching is not his best attribute. We'll have to see just how good Borthwick is as a head coach, but hopefully this means we can...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

I'm a May fan but having big players available all year round would be great for club sustainability. I certainly wouldn't want to loose our England/home nations core, but loosing too many just causes us to be short in key areas for a lot of the season. Its always a balancing act but at the end of t...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)

Craig Newby on Twitter: 'Yet again another sacking mid season. This demonstrates the clubs lack of planning and development from the top down. A knee jerk reaction to wall paper over the grand canon cracks that are apparent for all to see but the club themselves.' 'When will this stop and someone s...

Re: The Premiership is Boring, how to improve it

Apart from the last point, I kind of agree with him. Maybe not quite as he's putting it but stuff does need to be done. One thing I hate at scrum time is how long some refs hold the front does before allowing them to bind. It should be a fluid motion 9f crouch, set, bind, push or whatever the ref ca...
