Re: Tigers v Stade Team.

For me Thompson should not start. He has butchered two easy opportunities in recent weeks with poor handling.

Move Veainu to the wing and bring in Tait at FB. Make it clear that Veainu can look for work and get him into the game early doors.

Re: Sale v Tigers

Tait has been struggling for fitness, yet the coach decides to experiment and put him out of position. Blame the coach. Bell is way out of his depth at this level, and the sooner people relise this the better. Tait plays at FB or not at all. For me when he is fully fit he is the best all round optio...

Re: Sale v Tigers

I'm lost for words ....

Betham and Veainu on the bench yet Tait starts out of position. Tait should be playing FB with Veainu on the wing.....Simples!

Re: Team vs Wasps

I'm a Tait fan, but he was not at the races on Sat. Looked way off the pace and clearly was not 100% fit. Why did we not play Veainu or Bell at FB and give Tait an extra week to recover. I was shocked at what little game time M. Williams got, when clearly Leicester were lacking in physicality. Next ...

Re: Tigers injury update

I was under the impression that JDV was given last weekend off as he would be needed for Wasps and Saracens, as Tuilagi would be with Eng. Just hope Smith is fit to return and partner Betham in the centres. I hope Tait's 'tight groin' is not the start of the same injury that kept him out for over a ...

Re: Team vs Exeter

Have to say Leicester got the 'rub of the green' today from the ref, but all in all deserved the win. I like Betham at 13, however he makes suspect decisions in the defensive line which causes big issues.... something to work on. Bell at FB offered absolutely nothing. Kicks ball away, turns over bal...

Re: England v Ireland

Is it just me but does My Angry - M. Brown look a shadow of his former self.
He can't pass, has lost what little pace he had and keeps turning over ball / giving away penalties.

Get rid sharpish!

Re: Mat Tait

I expect to see Mat Tait at Leicester next season. Manu will be away with Eng when fit, therefore Tait will be needed to cover 13 or play 15. I don't think Veainu is nailed on to start 15 next season even with the arrival of JPP. Veainu will move between FB and Wing. Leicester will have lots of opti...

Timmers - "I'd go with
15.Veainu, 14. Goneva, 13.Tait, 12 Manu, 11. Thompstone"

The problem or headache we have is we need to factor in JDV into the equation, once he's fit.

Re: Stade v Tigers

If you want to pick your FB based on breaking the opposition line then Veainu is a better option than Tait, but you need to consider all aspects of FB play. I think the most balanced back three would be 15. Tait, 14. Veainu & 11. Betham. This way the best 3 players are on the field. Goneva makes...

Re: England Squad - OTY Dropped !!!!!

I have to say, I'm puzzled as to why Devoto has been picked. He is not even 1st choice IC at Bath and lacks pace.

Is there a saxons squad, and if so is T Youngs in that?

Re: Teams up v Saints

I'd like to wrap McCaffrey up in cotton wool and give him a well deserved rest, however with Slater, Williams and OcConner injured he will be very busy over the next few weeks. As far as the back three go I would select the best balanced trio. For me, I would have Tait at FB and Betham & Veainu ...

Re: Looking ahead to Bath

Veainu was signed as a winger, so why not play him on the wing where he scored 4 tries in the WC. Yes, Goneva and Thompson have started the season in decent form, but Goneva is suspect defensivel/under the high ball, so I'd be tempted to play Veainu and Thompson on the wings. I think Veainu may get ...

Re: Newcastle on Sunday

I feel for Croft, as he has been unlucky with injuries. For me Gibson is a better option and week in week out (the odd exception) outshines Croft. So I don't think Leicester are going to miss Croft. After all Croft has been a shadow of his former self. Morris will be fine, he took a heavy blow in th...

Re: England squad

I must be missing something...... Only 2 x second rowers in the 25 man squad, with only Croft for cover. Looks like Tom is set for the bench.

What on earth has happened to D Care?

I have a nasty feeling we may be in for a long night on Friday.
