Re: Today's game thread v Bath (Away)

I have to admit I feared the worse with before I knew the centres were missing. Wilson & James vs Balmain & Mulipolo at scrum time was always going to be a none event. Plenty of poor performances, but the pack have to take the majority of the responsibility as they got blitzed at scrum time ...

Re: Northampton v Leicester

All credit to Saints. I think they deserved the win based on their second half performance. I'm disappointed with Tigers continued focus on playing up the jumper rugby when they have their noses in front. This approach cost us tonight. You have to take a look at the coach and his game plan. I can un...

Re: Tigers v Saracens - threads merged

DickyP - Can you explain to me why Tait was so poor on Sunday? From my observations Tait was sound under the high ball made his tackles (two of which were last man tackles on Taylor and their no 8). I can accept thatTait has not reached the heights of last season with ball in hand, however Leicetser...

Re: Tigers vs Exeter

Have to say top performance on Sunday. B Youngs looks more like his old self and O Williams keeps improving with every game. I'd still like to see Kitchner start against Saints and I hope Tait is fit to give us a counter attacking option from deep. Was Tait's withdrawl precautionary - Was it his ank...

Re: Tigers players not first choices for England-except Dan.

Manu is no International class wing. With ball in hand he would be a handful, but he lacks pace to play out wide. I also think he would struggle as part of a back three unit, as he has not got the legs to chase back and cover or any ability under the high ball. Leave Manu to fight it out in the cent...

Re: England v Wales

Eng are looking better and better, still work in progress but the signs of a good team who are hard to beat are there. If you take into account the likes of Cole, Corbisero (excuse my spelling) Billy V, Croft who are missing from the pack and Manu & Yarde who can challenge for places Eng will be...

Re: England Backs

I have been a little disappointed with the overall display of the backs in the 6-nations to date. 9 & 10 axis has worked well and Brown keeps getting better, his all round game is almost error free at present. Burrell is also making a big impact. 12T doesn't cut the mustard for me, he has droppe...

Re: Team vs Worcester

Take a look at the bigger picture! Yes we struggled, but the opposition in the second half played out of their skins.
At the end of the day we got the win. Remember 12 months ago under similar conditions .... we only just scraped through then.

Take note Deacon is way past his sell by date!

Re: 6 Nations apathy

I'll try and keep this short, how did Eng through that game away. Eng were in control with 20 mins to go then the Coach decides to make multiple changes and take the best two players off in Care and big Billy! On top of that the guy takes Nowell (who did struggle) off and moved an inside centre (by ...

Re: England Selection

I truly believe 2 of the Leicester locks will make the WC squad come 2015. Slater, if he can stay fit will oust Attwood over the next 12 months. Then you have a straight fight between Parling and Kitch, I think Kitch will continue to get better and better, so he gets my vote come 2015. As for Tait, ...

Re: Ashton sacked....

The Daily Mail suggests that Eng will opt for Goode and Barrit on the bench. Are we really going to trust Goode at 10 if we lose Farrel early doors. There seems to be no intent trying to move the big French pack around, which surely is one option (plan B) Eng should consider. It is going to be an in...

Re: New Injuries and returning players

Not sure if the injury update means Tait and Kitch are out of both saxon games? As I understand Tait and Kitch are believed to be short term injuries. I hope this is the case as both are key if Leicester are to challenge the big teams. Both players are unlucky as a strong performance for the Saxons ...

Re: Tigers v Ulster team sheets

Exact team I would have selected. Some close calls, but good to see Slater and Kitchener paired. Also a blessing that Benjamen is injured as Goneva is more aggresive in defence. Leicester must win the breakdown battle first and foremost and not kick the ball aimlessly away. I have a feeling the firs...

Re: Tigers vs Ulster

Morris has been a little quiet of late, however based on the game in Ire in Nov Ulster will test out our back with plenty of high balls. Morris is a certain starter against Ulster.

I just hope Genova is having a good day .... makes all his tackles and manages to catch what's thrown at him.

Give me Tait ahead of Goode and Brown! Brown and Goode struggled over the weekend.
