Re: Austin Healy

Have you considered that in an age of of social media BT want interesting and sometimes a little controversial content? They want people clicking on their various social media accounts to discuss the game and the things highlighted by the presenters. Austin is very good at finding talking points ev...

Re: George Fords Departure - Why ?

Iam probably not alone in expecting Sale to recruit Mike Ford onto their coaching team in the next few months.. I am very sorry to see George leave Tigers again but a big thanks for your efforts in the rebuild. 'Those who know' (supposedly) tell me there's no chance. They like what they've got and ...

Re: Kevin Sinfield

Thanks for this - it shows what a massive task this is!

Caught up with him (not literally) just before Costock - he looked strong!

Re: George Fords Departure - Why ?

He's not leaving for financial or rugby reasons imho. I wonder if Manu will be delighted to welcome him as a teammate again?

Re: Club captain

Back in 2019, our former CEO asked me who I thought the next captain should be. He was surprised at my answer and replied "He'll need to mature a bit first". I guess he's done exactly that! It's a great choice! I think that says more about said former CEO. You're right - it was an astute observatio...

Re: Lions 2021

Nothing is definite - it's all a matter of opinion / judgment. I'm simply saying that, in my opinion, he wasn't competing for the ball - in which case I guess he was concerned more with the tackle. The duty of care (and the laws of the game) require him to ensure he does not tackle a player in the a...

Re: Lions 2021

Still disagree,i understand duty of care in making sure your opponent lands OK but I honestly believe Kolbe didn't see him until the last millisecond. Some one made a crazy point yesterday about you've still got eyes and they see everything, something along those lines, but they don't! You try it,lo...

Re: Lions 2021

Devils advocate, how is oompah loompah racist? So say for example it’s a female commentator (we have seen it many times in clubs, pubs etc where a lady is caked in orange foundation) and he called her a oompah lumpah. Is that a sackable offence too or have the PC brigade been on the case again? I fai...

Re: Lions 2021

I rather think Cowan-Dickie is making a habit of throwing himself front-on at the ball carriers legs. Knees don't bend that way so what he's doing is simply dangerous. For me, that's not a 'low tackle' - it's a cynical attempt to stop an opponent which risks serious injury.
