Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Perhaps we can start selecting the hooker that actually managed to throw to our jumpers. Kerr is the young lad for the future he should be starting. He's a very promising prospect He needs game time at the sharp end We can't get relegated this season So - that's 3 Yes's from me! I'd like to see us ...

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

Murphy and his coaches are struggling to get it to work on the pitch but often the right ideas are there. Up north on a horrible night makes sense to reinforce the forwards and bring in your most experienced 10 option and have on the bench a flyhalf used to playing in Belfast. We need someone to ge...

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

Sadly I don’t see Borthwick as the “Saviour “ whereas Taufua, when he came, said that his Head coach fancied a crack at The Premiership. A coach with a very good record. We keep going along to support our beloved team but we all know, commentators know and even the usually optimist Bledwyn Jones ha...

3 penalties for the same offence at the same line out resulting in a yellow card.
One of the lesser recognised skills - lifting - that we lost when Marcos retired.

Re: England v Ireland

Five locks in a 23 and more and more 6/2 bench splits being seen just shows how much the game has swung to bosh rugby. The rugby is as poor quality as I've ever seen it. Time to bring matchday squads down to 18 in my opinion, perhaps then they'll get fitter and lighter and won't be so keen to play ...

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

A sleep (and a bottle of Merlot) later... 1. Taute was a game changing loss 2. Reid and McPhillips are not Premiership-standard 10 & 12 3. Steve Borthwick is coming in as Head Coach. Forget what you hear/see about Geordan still running the side. It will be Borthwick's boys playing to Borthwick's dir...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Singleton would be a terrific addition. We can have OTY as an experienced replacement and release TPN. Have to admit, I thought Polota-Nau was a great signing at the time but he's been average at best. Can’t hit a barn door at the line out poor bloke. He has the yips, rest of his game still fine. F...

Re: Will Hurrel

Will has, tonight, posted on Facebook about what happened. He has, indeed, suffered a stroke which has left him with severe headaches, suffering panic attacks and memory loss. He has thanked the family and RPA for their help and is hopeful of continuing improvement. "So, I just wanted to let everyo...

Re: Captaincy

Dan Cole tomorrow! As with all front rowers, he gets plenty of practise talking to the ref at scrum time: "Who? Me, Sir? Never" "Their loose head was angling in, Sir" "The pitch just slipped out along with my feet, that's why I landed on my belly Sir" :smt003 I'm not convinced Dan says that many wo...

"Sione Kalamafoni (concussion), Jordan Taufua (knee) and Ben White (shoulder) are ruled out of the match through injury. The trio join Sam Aspland-Robinson (leg), Calum Green (face) and Guy Thompson (neck) on the injured list." No mention of Hardwick though...hmmm According to Tigers: "Omitted in S...
