Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

here's a suggestion rather than a peanuts to Wray £5m fine would it not have been better to restrict Saracens cap by £2m for each of the next 3 seasons to reflect 3 seasons of known breaches and if they can be shown to be breaching the cap this season then the restriction should apply for the follow...

Re: Typhoon on it’s way

what is ridiculous is the lack of contingency planning. every match should have been able to be moved forward or back 1 day to ensure it was played. if the scotland v japan game is cancelled then it will be the worst decision world rugby has ever made.

As he plays for the army he is probably just training with our guys while they are in Aldershot. I wouldn't read anymore into it until there is an official announcement

Re: Ringfencing finally here?

Do away with the PRC. Replace it with a competition where championship teams face premiership teams who are represented by under 23's. this would level the playing field as the championship teams would be able to have wiser older players.

Re: Ringfencing finally here?

by johnthegriff » Fri Jun 28, 2019 11:37 am The gap between Premiership and Championship rugby is huge that is why a promoted team has to recruit heavily before starting their Premiership campaign even then they usually struggle. The chances of Championship winners beating the bottom Premiership tea...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

the whole point is if they were not saracens players would the investment be there ? answer NO! if they are being given any "help" to set up a business it is only due to them being saracens players and therefore this money should count as part of their salary

Re: 2019 World U20s

if you look at the replacement trial you will see that you can still only use 8 of them. it just allows a like for like replacement ie if you have already used 7 including your back row replacement and another back rower is needed you can use a specialist back row rather than having to bring on say ...

Re: Sir Barnes

all that is needed to sort out the tackle is a return to the old ways 1 when a player is tackled as soon as any part of his body, other than the soles of his feet, touches the ground the tackled player must release the ball. 2 once the tackle is complete ie once the ball has been released the tackle...

Re: Challenge Cup

The challenge Cup is a proper 1st team competition that is the difference. If the Premiership Cup is policed properly with a limit on the number of 1st team players in the match day squad set and adhered to then the problem would be solved. The other option for the Premiership Cup is to follow the W...

Re: Hallelujah...about time

i agree about the advantage law it should be fixed at 10 metres gained or 10 phases without loss of field position thus making the side with the advantage use it rather than kicking over the top or playing down a blind alley with no hope of making forward progress
