Re: Gallagher Premiership this weekend

41-14.

Harlequins were superb today, Sarries had a smattering of notable names on the pitch.

Referee refused to work with the Captain by the end - poor show from the player (Wray)

Re: Gallagher Premiership this weekend

Controversial opinion but I believe that Reinach wasn’t seatbelt tackling he was grabbing the shoulder of Hassell-Collins to propel himself and I don’t think it was a penalty try, not that it matters because on all accounts the Exiles got a deserved win. I agree with you. Problem was they ping LI f...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

So it wasn’t £2.4m on itoje - I heard it wrong - it was actually that they overpaid in value - with a secondary firm saying the ‘purchase’ was only worth half of what they actually paid. (Worth 800k, paid £1.6m - but still that’s £1.6m outside of cap!) Press this morning reporting the report says th...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

Sky news has the report. Itoje image rights bought for £1.6m by sarries - which they subsequently overspent on by £800k?! £2.4m spent on itoje - no wonder they can’t hit a cap - it’s like multiple marquees beyond the two available slots... Other numbers... £440k invested in vunipolas, £200k invested...

Re: Borthwick

Ryles listed on England site as joining ahead of the quilter internationals - which is November.

He’s joining as skill coach, which is the job Borthwick now has till he leaves England setup

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

What I can't understand is why they were asked to give up their titles and were able to refuse. Just take them, change the names in whatever filing system the official record is kept and boom, done. What are they going to do, storm Twickers to change them back? I don’t get why they opted for relega...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Is it bad to say - they still havent dealt with the fact the squad is too expensive right here and now?

They will play out the season - but what if, just what if they are allowed to play out the season with all the current squad? Just doesn't seem right...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

My only thought on this subject is: Who is the only English team to win Europe's elite trophy in recent years? The salary cap is nothing but a handicap on English clubs succeeding in European rugby, whilst France and Ireland continue to dominate without restrictions. All the salary cap achieves is ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

This from the bbc article... “Furthermore, any money paid as compensation to players for cutting short contracts would also be included in the wage bill.“ Basically they are dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t. If compensation counts that’s going to blow the £7m they are trying to get under. ...

Re: Tigers v Cardiff's Drummer

All the gates have the prohibited items list on the walls on the way in - have it on the breedon side and have been there for quite a while now.

Other half took a flask into Sunday's game without an issue - in her hand, completely obvious to all at the gate.

Re: Pau vs Tigers - Sat 18 Jan 20

TV was great again today against CB, but I must admit, I am wary of how much hes being played lately. He's going to be very important to us domestically - so would want to rest him a bit given his value to us during them prem. Veanu has been out injured for a few weeks during the season so has not ...

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

Unless the ball is available at the base of the ruck within 2 seconds the opposition defence will be in place. I’ll say again the speed of ball from the 9 depends on how quickly the ball comes from the forwards. When there was quick ball today White was moving it quickly and accurately. Btw that’s ...

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

who says he's not? there is no law saying the 9 must be replaced after an hour My opinion, which is probably worthless, is that the Tigers game was crying out to be sped up. The ball was available at the base of the ruck on countless occasions whilst White spent time impersonating a windmill and/or...

And neither do you.

And given my last reply had the last line removed by 'someone' I will just leave it at that.
