Re: Tigers v Bath (H) - Premiership - Sunday 31st December 2023 - KO 3-00pm

Interesting that it was listed as a ‘sell out’. Plenty of empty seats near us in the Europcar End. Suspect a lot who bought seats made it over to the terrace as friends said that was heaving. 5 points for us and none for Bath was the order of the day and the team delivered. As for the half-time ‘ent...

Is tomorrow's game sold out? From a quick online look for tickets, I couldn't see any available.

Re: Fifteen Games To Go

A member of the audience asked why no youngsters are coming through from the academy and Cohen cocky response was as outrageous as it was arrogant. Good post Traveller. Just to put more 'meat on the bones'... at the Q&A in Feb/March 2018 a member of the audience asked 'why are no players coming...

Re: Fifteen Games To Go

Merry Christmas. Not been on here for a long time. We had our daughter in May 2018 so I’ve only been to 2 Tigers home games since, although I’ve been watching on TV. The Bill Walsh stuff is interesting. I follow American Football and he is a very respected coach. The principles make slot of sense. F...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs

Don't necessarily like to single a player out, but Olowofela was awful yesterday. Thought he had the look of a racehorse about him when he first played... yesterday showed he's not go it 'upstairs' (to be kind I'll add) yet. Absolutely terrible decision making and (as other have said) he never backe...

Re: Dead rubber v Ulster

Two words based on the pre-match banter! Fortress Welford!!! Wonder how many times any of our teams from say 10 years ago have lost a 13-0 lead in a European home game? When the game was only the line 2nd half Ulster dominated us. Not cheering me up knowing Quins have signed Will Evans. I know that ...

Re: Dead dead rubber v Ulster

Just a small comment. Fielding a stronger team today is no surprise. It was the same last year... all of the loyal fans we went to Castres in Rnd 5 had to suck up a weakened team and a chastening loss. Then in the Rnd 6 home dead rubber O’Connor put out the best team. Same this year for Scarlets and...

Grumpy Old Man - enjoy your weekend in the East Midlands! Closest pub to the stadium is The Bricklayers Arms on Welford Rd. 5 mins walk from ground, lots of TVs and Guinness on tap.

Likely to be busy with rugby supporters but you’ll get a good welcome.

Sorry, can’t say who has confirmed it to me, but trust me Evans has signed for Quins.

Will Evans is leaving for Quins. Assume this might be common knowledge, not looked about. But if not, he’s going. Confirmed

Re: Quins must win 23

Slightly off (game) topic but does anyone know where you can find red zone rugby stats? Would be genuinely interested to look at offence and defence stats. For example, how good are Exeter inside the 22 and who is the best team at stopping opponents when they get inside their 22? That last one would...

Re: Quins must win 23

The worry for me today is can we fix the holes in defence? I’m sure we will be ‘up for it’... huge game, Xmas fixture, GM confirmed HC, lots of chest-beating... But Quins are going to properly test our D-fence. They’ll know where the gaps have been. Agree first 20 mins are critical. We need somethin...

Re: Quins must win 23

For those who follow the betting... Tigers opened 8/15 yesterday morning, Quins 6/4. Clearly the money has come and we are now 2/5 and Quins 2/1. We may well win but I don’t get those odds at all. Can’t see many Tigers fans loading up on us at 2/5. We are so inconsistent and flakey. Score today coul...

Re: Murphy appointed head coach

Aside from this appointment, what will now constitute a success for GM and the club? 11th in the league? What are the realistic expectations?
