Re: Away vs Quins Sat 13th Feb
Well, SB is sorting the forwards out into quite a unit, although it seems the vultures are circling claiming our quality imports... The backs, though, are way off the pace. Take out Steward, Van P, Nadolo, Ford and Youngs, and there is not one who would have ever got near the Tigers team that won in...

Re: Away vs Quins Sat 13th Feb
Quite honestly, Van Poortvliet is a better bet than Youngs. Taking him off today was awful. White just isnt in the same ballpark. A lot to enthuse about, but not in the backs , who were totally outclassed, from 10-14.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
Years ago on here, I suggested that Croft should have played as a Centre, as he was plenty fast enough.
I think Lewis might be considered in a similar vein.
Witnessing Tom Youngs make the transtition the opposite way makes it food for thought.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Jones has stated SB will be the next coach, but after yesterday its pretty bl**dy obvious both Ford and Youngs, if not Genge, will be made redundant by our Eddie. Why the hell he didnt take Farrell off yesterday, heaven knows. He was abysmal.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
Lynagh is not quick enough. We need some real speedsters, its the total lack of real pace we are missing, none of the current backs are nearly fast enough.

Re: Sale game moved - Teams up
To be totally blunt, apart from Steward and possibly Nadolo, cannot see any of last nights backs lasting the course. If we had had a speedster--or two--we would have walked that match. Scott, head start, overhauled, James, head start, even further in front. Says it all.

Re: Bayonne - next opponents
Newcastle look streets ahead of us, even with their semi second string out v Castres. No kicking, just really slick inter-passing. Next two weeks results will, to me, define our seasonal prospects.

An excellent post. Our Tom must have the hide of a rhino to still be Top Cat with all the shambolic decisions made under his command.

Re: Other Round 2 Fixtures
A truly appalling match but Leicester won it. Richards coaching, Young orchestrating, Flood delivering ,backed up by Mc Guigan and Mulipola. A great ending -and Deano was seen to actually smile. Amazing.

Re: Manu - Sale injury update
There will be no way on planet earth that Gatland would take a risk in South Africa with someone as injury prone as Manu. A one off Test in the UK, maybe, but a tour, zero chance.

Re: Borthwick
Borthwick has every reason to be happy tonight.
Freed from his shackles, he proved 23 gutsy nutcases could cause an upset. The best overall Tigers performance for a very long time, the intensity was incredible.
Makes selection when the Internationals come back a rather tricky case..

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up
If we lose at home against one of the weaker teams today, then we definitely will be relegation fodder. Again
Win, in various aspects, and it will give us either, a modicum of hope, or even dream of a Top 4 ?
