Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season
We're not allowed to sign him yet anyway. I can imagine we were interested in Burns but given his abysmal form, Cockers has had second thoughts and would prefer a more rounded, solid player which Priestland is.

Re: Pablo Matera
Has he ever played at 8? Just asking as we already have a top notch 7 in Salvi and could really do with a more dynamic 8. Nothing wrong with having two first class 7's in the squad (most teams can't claim to have one!) but with the salary cap it would seem a waste to have one of these guys merely a...

Re: Montpellier v Tigers
If we win at Treviso I think we'll be through as a best runner up minimum. Ulster fans ought to realise that Montpellier can't send over their reserves for their game given the squad restrictions so if Montpellier can stop them scoring 4 tries, we're in business.

Morne Steyn's contract at Stade ends so I'm sure they'll be in for someone.
Beuaxis is leaving Toulouse as well. There's other big teams in for fly-halfs.

Re: Match Fixing in rugby
I guess it's harder to spot-fix in Rugby than Football or cricket, in Football it's easy to pick up a yellow card whereas in rugby, we know that to deliberately go out to get yellow carded is fairly tough not forgetting the responsibility of letting your team-mates down. Also Rugby's betting market ...

Re: Flood
For me the sensible option would be for him to sign a one year contract to take him up to the World Cup. If Farrell gets injured he's number one remember. I think as fans we need to do everything in our means to keep him as I can't see us getting anybody better.

Re: Montpellier
Montpellier are a good side but Toulon and Toulouse standard they certainly are not. Ulster hammered them in France and we should be aiming to win these two games regardless of the injury situation.

Re: Montpellier
Having seen bits of their games over the past two weeks, their scrum has been going backwards at a rate of nots rather surprisingly.

In all the talk of the 'forward pass' we are overlooking the even more scandalous decision to sin bin Quade Cooper.

Re: Tigers v Glaws
Benjamin has raw talent but he needs some serious mentoring if he is going to make it at this level. His mistakes are the kind of thing you see with the mini-youth i.e basic. I agree with the post which suggested we loan him out. A few weeks at Notts would do him some good but he needs a brain. I'm...

Re: Tigers v Glaws
Amazing what a tiny bit of continuity can do. We were awesome at times and suicidal at others but it's a great 4 points at Glos. Cole, Kitch and Waldrom stood up and acted like the leaders we've been lacking so far this season. Plus we're starting to see just what the likes of Gibson and Benjamin ar...

Re: RWC PRICES!
Mersey Tiger , short ride to Villa Park or Elland Road, surely? The England match in Manchester is a far bit cheaper than the other 3 in London. SilebyTiger , you really think they should price it up at 2007 prices? Not at all, but 2007 had full stadiums and an incredible atmosphere especially at t...

Re: Rumour has it
As regards to Floody's house going on the market, I also hear he is taking french lessons again, need I say more! The real clue will be on the pitch. If his performances pick up then you know he's still got an open mind. After all nothing has been decided yet as teams can only talk to him in January.
