Re: Premiership Sevens

No idea - but they can't be any worse/more obviously not match fit than the crew that played last year!

Re: Wade makes an impact on 1st game

Wade didn't make the final cut at Bills, unfortunately. Retained as the 11th man in their practice squad so he'll be there all year in a development capacity with the opportunity to step up next season. That is a huge achievement in its own right. Hopefully he can go onto the next level Good luck t...

Re: When the world cup is done and dusted

There was a time where forward passes and the offside line didn't count in SR but the reffing this season has been a million times better than the GP,not even close! Some of the domestic reffing has been abysmal! The standard of reffing here is abysmal in general, hilarious in the Pro14 but slightl...

Re: New Kit

Announced on the club website that they will be supplied by Kukri (again) this season. We all knew it was coming after the photos from pre-season but it's still not great. The quality and sizing/fit has been **** since we left Canterbury

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1

I don't entirely disagree with BFG. My previous comment was in response to MikeR regarding the scrumhalf position which I regard as one of strength. The Tiger's team did not play well last season, individuals all had their moments of good and bad but it was the team that failed. I suppose my commen...

What’s that? Don’t have Instagram.
It's a post of the Tigers badge and a message saying he's delighted to have signed for us for next season (to paraphrase)

To a certain extent - aren't most appointments or signings gambles as we're never 100% certain that they will work

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Maybe the club has finally started to think long term. Perhaps so, but that won't stop the many keyboard warriors on here venting at every opportunity that we've not signed the whole All Blacks squad along with having a side full of academy grads and having the best DOR and coaches in the world imm...

Re: Howard to mentor Murphy

Board must go major change required, so club being sold.......must be a sell out, profiteering, lack of commitment by the Board. Coaches out of their depth, so quality additions appointed.......not more ex Tigers, being done on the cheap. Anyone else bored with the endless negativity :smt015 :smt01...

Re: New coaching structure?

Well, it sounds like Geordan doesn't want any changes... its that or the options that were targets are now going elsewhere. So we're stuck with the poor forwards coaching, frankly pathetic defensive systems that are easy to read and a lack of real investment in the coaching set up. Ah well, at leas...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Sounds like they can't be announced until their season is over but yet Lavinini and Tafua could? :smt017 Have we anyone coming from the GP or PRO14 then? Super Rugby is still ongoing and then the provincial competitions - so could be anywhere. It depends on what's been agreed with the individual an...

Re: New Kit

Kukri's deal is not up, they are contracted for the next couple years I think. The kit manufacturer isn't something Tigers control directly as its subcontracted to a company who's name I forget. Cohen said they are currently trying to work a way of getting a different manufacturer but in the mean t...
