Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

There is also a consideration of whether all of the players will be England players moving forwards? Will Coley be in the mix, for example? Also, will YBY be the starting 9 from here onwards? Not saying he shouldn't be btw - just putting it out there for discussion

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Interesting to hear in earlier coverage of this that there's no cap in Europe so could they not register players for them Prem and keep them outside of the cap and have a completely different squad for Europe?

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

The times are reporting that Sarries will not appeal and have accepted the findings and penalties handed out.

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

Good result - sounded like there were some good defensive sets too. Well done to Jonah.

Sadly I missed the game - thoughts from anyone who was there?

Also, how did sir do?

Re: Borthwick

As much as I didn't like him as a player (more for his on field personality than anything else) he's always struck me as a winner (which must have been hard being in the Bath sides he was in) but also a guy who likes a challenge and likes to challenge himself. We are, if nothing else, a huge challen...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Rugby paper saying Genge has snubbed a offer from Bristol and is close to signing a 3 year contract with Tigers Offer from Bristol? But they aren't allowed to talk to him prior to January. I've always wondered if the wording on this is a bit more weighted towards not being able to approach the play...

Re: Good Players Made To Look (Less Than) Ordinary

Stats look good but knock ons, interceptions and discipline cost Tigers dearly. It shows that we have a decent pack of forwards but the backs have not been good enough to make the attacks. Irish had a good backline which took full advantage. Get the backline sorted with Eastmond, Veanu and others a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Rugby paper saying Genge has snubbed a offer from Bristol and is close to signing a 3 year contract with Tigers Despite what many fans may feel about Murphy's tenure, three players are certainly buying in to his vision. Three years is a long time to commit to somewhere if you've no faith in the dir...

Lavanini an international class lock ...he should start
I'm guessing this is a case of bedding him in with the language, lineout calls etc.

Re: Dylan Hartley Retires

Definitely a marmite player. If you're a sinners fan then they'd defend him to the ends of the earth (as we would do with Johno I guess.) I didn't like him as a player but as others have said, you don't get 96 caps by being a poor player. That said, you have to have a few short fuses to spend 60 wee...

Re: The World Cup Final

A shake up is afoot... “I tell you what happens to teams – they evolve,” Jones said. “Some guys will lose desire, some guys will lose fitness, some guys will get injuries and there’ll be young guys come through. So this team is finished now. There will be a new team made. We’ll make a new team for ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester

The try aside, Gloucester didn't make it into our 22 more than a couple of times and certainly didn't get within more than 10m of our try line (their try aside). Our line speed was good and as others have said, the passing lanes were, in the main, shut down well. The selection of Forsyth was, by a f...

Just noticed that Mike Ford appeared to be missing from the coaching box yesterday so I assume that he was in Japan(?)
