Re: Team vs Saints

Our tackling at times was smashing them behind the gain line. Something we haven’t done for ages.

Re: Team vs Saints

Loved When Lavanini when he smashed the Saints player..hard and legal...real statement of intent.

Hmmm - more like Saints mistakes ..... hence my conclusion it was a dross game.
Did we make them look bad too? We weren’t sparkling like the All blacks but we probably made them poor too with our play.

Re: Team vs Saints

Happy with the win and there were some positives but it was still a dross game - other than a lucky try for Lenny we really did not threaten their line all game and if Saints had taken their opportunities in the red zone the result would likely have been different. As sent by the Spartans to the Pe...

Re: Team vs Saints

Good win and as one of the commentators said, the score flatters saints. Great defence and some good individual performances. Loving Henry. Great buy and rough around the edges but who cares. Great to have a 2nd fly half who has ambition to play. The yellow cards killed us a bit but we won. Not goin...

Re: Team vs Saints

I am looking forward to this now. It was all depressing wednseday but now optimistic for a great result.
I just pray we dont play a game of kicking the ball long to Naiyaravoro and see what happens.
Youngs and Henry i think will be really exciting.

Cant wait.

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

I believe it has been stated in the past that SB has the responsibility of team selection and I can't see him having taken the job without having such control. That said I am equally sure that he will seek feedback and comment from others in the back room team including Smurf before reaching his de...

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

Second half, Wasps have played far better and have executed their moves with accuracy and pace.....a well drilled side. Credit must go to a good Wasps side and their position in the table is evident. Tigerbeat, I am 99% of time positive, but at no stage in that game did we ever look like holding th...

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps

Well, what is the point of us turning up? We are a complete shambles. Zac Henry one positive. What is the point of blooding these youngsters to just get pumped every game? Hardly breeds any confidence. And just says we are cannon fodder for the other teams. Saints must be over the moon knowing they ...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

It looks like the last two seasons all over again. At least we can’t get relegated. Just disjointed and lacking any fizz. Onwards to the next game.

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

We need to have some back moves as at the moment it seems as if we are waiting for something to happen no making it happen. We could get spanked here. The only saving grace is the players seem fitter so can fight for longer.

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

In Louis Deacon, we had one of the best "enforcer" locks in the game, you never saw what he got up to, but the opposition knew he was there, Flats said he was known as "silent but violent" in the England camp. I remember Ben Youngs saying that Louis rarely started it but he was already to join in i...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

Being 6”8 probably helps the refs spot him too... We all wanted a hard edge Jono style lock. An enforcer, we have one and I am looking forward to seeing him tearing it up. I don't know why people keep on about "an enforcer". Certainly, there were such (I suspect SB's nose wasn't always that shape) ...
