Re: Doom and Gloom

Agreed. Everything has to be now, instant success and if it's not forthcoming it's "sack the coaches". There's no patience. All we want to see is improvements, that's the frustration for me. There are obviously factors around why that hasn't happened and I understand that.

Let's hope we see a few of those in the first team environment.

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

Decent interview with Joe Heyes on the Rolling Maul podcast. Interesting how dramatic we all are after the loss at Saints (can you imagine how the players would be if they reacted in a similar fashion), whereas the staff/players are focusing on that first half, where we nullified their attack and im...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

12 months ago, Freddie Steward was the best full-back in the world. He was so good in fact, that teams changed how they played to nullify his threat. The game evolved and now Freddie does too. He may not have the pace, Scott Hamilton never did, but his stride makes up for that, and actually, if tea...

Regarding Hodge, the last two games I’ve watched him play for Exeter and England A, I lost count of the number of times he decided not to pass to a teammate in a better position and instead go into contact on his own. :smt018 Noticed that looks like he brought too much into his own wonder try hype....

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Going back to some of the leavers, I did see a bit of Cusick and Edwards at Notts and whilst I'm not a scout, I didn't see anything from both of those players in a Championship environment that said "these are Premiership ready". Of the others, same with Ilione. That's not to say that anot...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

A combination of all of the above. Confidence probably gone, given every week you're stood out on the wing wondering if you'll ever get the ball and if you do, is it from Kelly, Kata, Scott or someone else. Like I said, I would guess he's a player that needs an arm around him and being told how good...

Radio silence on George Martin still. Given his prolonged absence I reckon we won't see him again this season, sadly.

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00

I know it's unlikely, but whilst there's still a chance of Top 4 we should be going full beans in my opinion, otherwise the "they've given up" brigade will have a stronger case. As good as Bristol have been, the small pitch doesn't really suit their game and gives our defence a better chan...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05

I may have missed the posters who (I probably missed it when skipping the bickering) congratulated Northampton not only on the win and the manner in which they play the game, but also that they have built a winning team without any big name signings and by using an ex-player as head coach. They are...

….and for Healey to question if he’s going fast enough is just inaccurate and frankly, wrong. I see on social media everyone is now questioning OHC - funny that - well done Austin.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I have often posted that Tigers lack genuine pace and a ball carrying threat. I thought we solved that issue signing OHC and Watson not to mention Wiese. Strikes me that OHC as has been widely muted is a different player from when he was at Irish, Watson is still long term injured and Wiese is off....

Don't forget that nobody has any patience these days, it's instant success or "get rid" and start again. I hope McKellar doesn't read this forum - if he does then he's probably on his way to the airport with his family in tow.

You quoted literally half the sentence didn't even bother to put an ellipsis at the end. I precisely quoted what BBC Radio Leicester reported on X so do yourself a favour and actually click on the link I posted and you will actually read what they reported in full. As for only quoting half the sent...
