Re: Favourite Players

Neil Back. Incredible player who was the trail blazer for a lot of what 7s do at the breakdown now. One of the first English 7s to be that link between forwards and backs. Told he was too small. They couldn’t ignore him.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Shame about Singleton but if the only option was a loan then i'm glad we went in another direction. Looking forward to seeing what Kerr and Mamukashvili can do. I’m still to be convinced on Singleton. He’s looked decent enough for Sarries in a pack that is on the front foot. This is a true test now...

Re: Were Exeter robbed?

Interesting to hear Barnes' comments about the Quins v Chiefs game. From what I saw (on TV) on Friday night, Gloucester conceded about 5 penalties in a row in the "red zone" .....they got a warning and then Sale scored, which often gets the referee out of making a decision. Then in the second half, ...

Do we have any backs moves we can execute other than through 3/4 sets of hands then kick it away or get turned over? Loops, wrap arounds - anyone remember them?
Is that something to do with knitting perhaps?
Pass one, carry one ....

Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020

i don’t see anything in attack in terms of progress or vision....that’s my worry. Defensively we actually looked decent for 30 mins until the penalties started mounting up, Cole’s yellow then it went downhill. Simple things like the blockers for the exit kick. That’s not all the 9s fault. TPN....sim...

Singleton would be a terrific addition. We can have OTY as an experienced replacement and release TPN. Have to admit, I thought Polota-Nau was a great signing at the time but he's been average at best.
Can’t hit a barn door at the line out poor bloke.

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

Some mention of the A League/Prem Shield here. A soulless, pointless “tournament” where a mish-mash of players get together having had a couple of training sessions. First teamers coming back from injury and playing at 75% to get the tick in the box, Senior Academy lads who have no chance of first t...

Sadly, it's about to be blown apart and won't exist in a few years time.

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

Part of the problem is highlighted in some of these posts. Who actually cares about the Championship ? A lot of people don’t even know if any Tigers players are getting game time for a club n that division !! There’s no visibility aside from player x who’s now an international played a handful of ga...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 15th Feb

I would question anyone who thinks that we should be winning this game. Wasps are only losing Minozzi & Launchbury, whilst their line-up looks decent, especially in the back row, where Carr, Willis and Young have been on fire. I'm expecting a very difficult game. If we can get a win, fair play.

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Shocking weather and game. Time for the 6N to be held in June. Agreed. It’s time for an an overhaul. As much as terrestrial TV tries to hype up the history between nations etc, etc it’s not cutting it for me. Conditions not helping but the quality of rugby is woeful. Errors, inane kicking, skills p...
