Re: McGinity off

Talks with players have already started, don’t believe any of that “wait until 1st Jan rubbish.” It’s a bizarre decision. We’re going to lose some players, who are replacing them ? Or more to the point, who is looking at who is out there ?

Re: Autumn Nations Cup

Other than a note of his future possible potential I honestly see the call up of Alfie Barbeary as somewhat premature. Thus far more hype and talk (from others) than ability shown. Clever from Eddie Jones though I think. It serves as a reminder to the current back row players that you can't relax at...

Re: London Irish Away

Our problem in the line out appear to me that our 2 locks were too small. Wells appears to just be slightly too small but Green looks tiny to me, not sure why we signed him back from Falcons, I think the problem with these two will get worse, imagine Green v Du Preez, new Sale lock, at 6'-10" again...

Re: London Irish Away

Very simply put the Lineout has to improve.... Fundamental basic of the game in general and absolutely essential to how we appear to want to play the game. The problem is that this particular failing is not exactly new.It should matter not where or indeed who the problem may stem from it simply has...

Re: Is Genge in trouble

Coach, fans and players who have lost a game in "there were some odd decisions" and "headbutt" shock. Change the record please. I'm pretty sure I saw a kick to the head of an English player at 2m 43s ….if I keep looking, rewind, slow it down, frame by frame and watch it enough times, I will....no no...

Re: London Irish Away

Still can't believe how bad that performance was yesterday. This "journey" thing annoys me as well. Players do silly things when the pressure is on and they are unsure what they're supposed to be doing. Somebody makes an error then someone else tries to rectify it by flying out of the line, getting ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I mean there are some very promising younger 10's who might be worth looking at spending the Hardwick money on should he go. When you think Bonilla is 31 Ford is 27 Henry is 26 McPhillips is 23 (But looks just as much out of favour currently) With no 10 in the development squad and Jack Vernum the ...

Re: London Irish Away

I’m willing to give him time, but we keep hearing about the meticulous attention to detail that is Borthwick’s trademark. Either it’s still taking time to get through or the players simply can’t implement it. Let’s hope it’s the former. It does seem like we’re learning on the job. One of our game ch...

Re: London Irish Away

Honestly that was woeful. We are in deep deep trouble. Had chances to win and couldn’t do it. Bonilla terrible and Taute not far behind. Defensive frailties back and penalty count back to last seasons low (or high). Back to square one.

Re: London Irish Away

As good as the win felt on Saturday, this season will still have ups and downs I think, as new partnerships bed in and we try and find our way again. Haven't see the Irish game but read the report and it sounded like they literally didn't turn up, so expecting a reaction from them this weekend, plus...

Re: GP Round 1 thread

Aside from the Tigers win of course, the highlight of the weekend for me was Mulipola trampling all over Priestland to set the ball rolling for the Newcastle winning try....and then having to come off ! Job done.

Re: Marcus Smith

Not sure Simmonds is an international 8. Fantastic club player but not quite big and powerful enough. Dombrant might get there. Not sure it is a good use of Curry who looks more comfortable on the flank; I would only use him at 8 as cover if the starting 8 got injured. Look at the sheer physicality...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

Missing players are irrelevant in my book, given the amount of of times we’ve gone to Kingsholm in February losing numerous players. Garvey is lucky he stayed on the pitch...constantly offside and in at the side. His head nearly fell off the amount of shaking it did after every decision. More of the...
