Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

All this scrum nonsense is the reason why we’re still in n the dark ages and everyone else has moved on ! It’s great to have a decent scrum, yes, but have Sarries or Exeter dominated at scrum time ? Not particularly but they have got 2 front rows a piece who can carry, offload, have good ball skills...

Sorry to disgree but I see Quins winning the league under Gustard, not next season but definitely the season after.
Quins will not win the league in 2,3,4 or 5 years time.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Top 6 with this amateur coaching team, top 4 with a top quality coaching team. Gustard won’t win anything, neither will Ackerman...serial runner-up. Boyd though.... I'd love to know what you're basing this on. Ackermann and Gustard both have better rugby CVs than Baxter and McCall when they first a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

3-4 seasons? Boyd? Ackerman? Gustard? Excuses in already?! No excuses, just being realistic. If we make Top 6 it will have been a decent season I reckon. Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

As no further signings have been announced, those still unknown to us are likely to be Southern hemisphere, and/or World Cup players, or am I missing something? Perhaps there are no more, but I am very doubtful about that. Strongest rumours yet to be announced: Hanro Liebenberg - Final round of Sup...

Re: Boring Sarries, boring Exeter

UnlikeTigers, both these sides know when a passage of play has run its course, so they kick, but importantly to compete rather than give the ball back to their opponents. How many times did they get possession vs Glos from 50/50 challenges n the air, or the loose ball. The Tompkins final try was so ...

Re: Cipriani

Great player, yes, if he’s allowed to run the show. At Gloucester, I imagine that he made sure that he was going to be top dog, as in he is the organiser, play maker and almost the actual backs coach. Everything runs off him. If you have a pack going forward it makes it all the better, more time and...

Re: GROUNDS

Best ground to visit the Rec in Bath, wonderful setting to watch rugby in a fantastic city, if they get planning permission to build their new stadium it will probably be one of the best places to watch rugby in the world. Worst ground to visit is Gloucesters ground, pillars in the stand restrictin...

Re: GROUNDS

I’m quite fond of Sandy Park, a bit of old mixed in with the new. Kingsholm is horrible. Main stand with pillars, so the view can be pants......why ? Went there once and this lout got very close to being decked, given he was crowing that they’d beaten us and in an aggressive manner. My daughter was ...
