Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

It might work if we attack in patterns, which we never do. Watch any NZ domestic team and the way they shift their forwards in pods of 3 around the field, its almost a work of art. Most of the time our lads are strung out like they're queueing at the bar.

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

Not what I'd call encouraging for the 6N period really. It would be nice not to tread water through another wasted season but it is what it is, better things on the horizon.

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

Too even to call this one, both teams have roughly equal experience and x factor scattered about. Does anybody know what's happened to Viljoen? Seems to have dropped off the map.

Re: Finn Russell

Seems a bit harsh to boot him out for going out on the lash with his mates who he might not have seen for ages, does feel sometimes like the game is too quick to forget these lads are in their mid 20s and still learning about life. Even three pints deep he'd still be their best player!

Re: Ed Griffiths in more trouble?

For an apparently leading light in the business community they really are a shower at the moment aren't they. If I'd paid for one of their seminars I'd be asking for a refund.

Re: Is it me? Brendan Venter!!!?

I ended up in the middle of a scrap between him and Goodey on twitter after Venter claimed Andy wouldn't know anything about healthy club culture. I wanted to reach through my phone and slap the idiotic bore. Are you 100% sure that you didn't miss just a bit of rugby banter in that! A pie and a pin...

Re: Sarries players available ?

Isiekwe for Spencer and Singleton for TPN would be definite upgrades and make sense financially. Hard to say otherwise without knowing what sort of honest wages the other Salarycens are on. Make for interesting negotiation, so Nick how much are you earning at the moment, NO I mean how much are you ...

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach and ex-Tigers Joe Ford has decided to leave the club immediately to concentrate on business activities away from rugby. Yikes, did not realise he'd been given the HC job, and from the looks of the table it didn't go well. Whoever decided to give a 29 year old with no c...

Re: Borthwick

This i find both refreshing and honest form Murphy - “I imagine Steve will run, as soon as he feels comfortable, the on field side of it, putting the sessions of planning and the style of play, allowing me to take a step back and maybe do the things I’m more suited to, I’m very excited” . Hats off ...

Re: England v Ireland travel

For the Quins game I did Nuneaton to Euston > underground to Waterloo > overground to Twickenham, its fine if you're prepared to wait around in the bars for a few hours afterwards before heading home as the train station will be a madhouse.

Why S&C?
Our fitness isn't where it should be to compete with the best, as witnessed by our often very pronounced inability to kill off games.

Re: Borthwick

Does feel like fairly typical of Tigers to have an anouncement that only makes things about 20% clearer :smt005. Ah well at least it's progress. Still need an attack coach, breakdown and possibly S&C as well but hopefully Borthwick has some ideas.

Re: Borthwick

So is he actually coming or not? :smt017 Almost certainly. Not been confirmed by Tigers or Borthwick yet but it’s widely expected to happen. When, seems to be slightly less clear. Some reports say post 6N but most say end of the season. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/stev...
