Re: Borthwick

Popcorn Friday perhaps Indeed it will be :smt023 Confirmed? All 20 digits crossed hoping it's so. I can't see an issue with moving Geordie to DoR, how much damage can he really do there for the rest of the season at least. It would be nice to have somebody more qualified but the players seem to lik...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Posting form Ireland, so the cheating has had no real impact on us. Have to say i'm a little surprised how easy the media are going on them. Apart from Harlequins and Exeter, most people seem to be tip-toeing around it. Maybe that'll change with time but it does appear they have gotten off lightly....

In a good way I meant, he's a very intense individual who gets results.

Re: French rugby 2019/20

If reports of the French national team's training habits are to be believed then they're in for an awful shock with Edwards! They don't mess about up Wigan way.

Re: Borthwick

An official review of the 2019 tournament will finish tomorrow or on Friday. At that point, Jones will establish a new-look back-room team. Defence coach John Mitchell, also with the Barbarians this week, is expected to remain as one of Jones’s chief lieutenants but scrum coach Neal Hatley has join...

Re: Heyneke Meyer

Meyer is exactly the sort of functional but entirely uninspired appointment the club loves to make, so he's probably already got his own car parking spot lined up.

Set piece went well, so the platform is there. They will be better when Ford and Manu return.

There's only 4 games in the league before the six nations, 3 (Saints Chiefs Bristol) you'd have to be a bold soul to bet on us getting anything from. After that it's back to this lot.

"Despite having over 100 years of rugby experience between all our coaches and Pat Howard we still have absolutely no idea how to attack. Like, at all. Please send help!" - Geordan after we get beat by Pau's third team at the weekend.

Re: Will anyone want to buy the club??

Rugby clubs don't really ever make any money do they, especially not in the region that would recoup £60m, so it would have to be a passion project for somebody. Still boggles my mind that you can buy one of the biggest club sides in the world for 2/3rds of Harry Maguire.

Re: Ellis Genge in Toronto

He didn't play much admittedly, but the lad deserves a holiday! He went straight from the end of the Prem season into the pressure cooker that is Eddie Jones' training camp, then the stress of the pinnacle rugby tournament. If he doesn't take a break now when's his next chance going to be?

Liverpool? Shame on you. Should be supporting the foxes! 😁😁😄
Haha ah well, mum's from Toxteth dad's from Market Harborough so I've ended up with a bit of both. The old boy still hasn't stopped lording the league win over the rest of us, not that I blame him!

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

I'm not going, I've decided to start voting with my feet. With my family & friends it's a bi-weekly battle over watching Liverpool in the pub or Tigers live and I've really run out of convincing arguments for the latter.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

London Irish are not as bad a side as they were made out to be. The Tigers backline was always going to struggle against the Irish backs for physicality. The players dropping balls , knocking on and passing to no-one is down to poor execution and giving penalties the discipline of the players. Last...

Re: Expectations for this year

Even with the England players back our squad isn't really any better than anybody else's, except maybe two of the teams we've already been beaten by. We're going down unless something significant happens in the leadership department.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

I don't really hold Murphy responsible for any of this, does his coaching appear to be up to scratch? No, but he was gifted the job by the board when he clearly hasn't developed into a good enough coach yet. Ever since MOC left the first time around its been balls up after balls up on their part. Y...
