Re: Tigers v Chiefs

In some ways a free shot - after last weekends performances nobody will be expecting a Tigers win. I would expect to see a reaction from the Tigers from Sunday but equally we will need one as Exeter are a bit of a runaway train at the minute. I will be watching from behind the sofa. But what will y...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I’m really pleased with the signings but I hope we still manage to give Reffel, Lewis and Hardwick sufficient game time as they are developing well and I would hate to see them leave.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Saracens will have one season in the Championship, during which time most of the players will negotiate new contracts on lower wages and Saracens will be within the salary cap. The players will also agree to a supplementary salary to be paid by Nigel Wray, who is no longer formally connected to the ...

Re: cashless madness - or is it??

I do not believe that this will improve the service in the bars and resent the removal of the cash option by the club. The Welford Road bars have seen the last of us for pre-match drinks as I am sure the local pubs will accept my cash and probably give me more change.

Re: Bath next week ....

The forum is being over run by footy fans! That was a gutsy performance today given the circumstances. Part of the rebuilding process.. a great defensive effort.........we've been moaning about poor defence for how long, the boys put a shift in against a top notch back row and still we moan. I'm go...

Re: Bath next week ....

I understand the suggestion that we need 2 breakdown operators against Bath but neither BOC not Guy Thompson seem capable of playing 80 minutes, so I imagine it will be one or the other to start, unless Evans is paired with one. In fact, we seem to have a number of forwards with questions over fitn...

Back to the Ashton thread:
The real question is: Now that he is back in England, will he be back in the England squad?

Re: We were due to lose one before the seasons end

Tigers turned things around several weeks back when they started competing effectively at the breakdown. Key to that was the physicality of Williams and O'Connor, prior to their injuries. I thought that they had returned to fitness but they are not even on the bench. Have the lessons not been learnt?

JMH Retires and we never signed him!

Juan Martin Hernandez has retired at 35 and, much to my disappointment, we never did sign him. Great player though and would have been loved Welford Road I'm sure.

Re: MOC to be sacked?

This is beginning to sound like a wendyball forum, lose a couple of games and sack the coach! No-one was saying that EJ was not up to it before the 6 Nations and the criticism of MOC will go quiet if we start next season well.

Re: Good luck to the Tigers Age grade internationals

Some great prospects there, especially White and Hardwick. I now see why Kitto was released, White looks better already. Joe Ford could be next as Hardwick also looks the more complete player, with lots of time for improvement for both. We need to see these lads in the first team squad for next seas...

Re: George Ford

What a load of rubbish, Ford is class. With Toomua outside him at 12 and a pack now playing well we will see him shine. If Burns was so good then why would Priestland be staring over him at Bath and he would be in the England squad. Only one fly half in the country who is hard done by by not being ...

I enjoyed that but it is all becoming a little too optimistic. Where is Roly?
