Re: Sale (H) 23rd October 2021 - 3pm

Probably the most important win of the season against a top four bet.

Re: Player welfare and performance

I read a version of this story elsewhere; interesting. What fascinated me was the research done on amateur era players in tandem with this showing that their brain functions were rarely impaired until they were over 75. This from the days when punch-ups were real, not just shoving each other. Bears...

Re: Sale (H) 23rd October 2021 - 3pm

I have my third jab tomorrow (not a booster) but despite that won't risk going to a game with the current level of face mask use or rather absence of it. Mrs G has almost no immune system (thanks to cancer treatment, but what was the alternative....) so can't risk attendance currently although she ...

Re: AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS 2021

Ford has the control under pressure that Smith lacks, as exposed at Sale. EJ has hardly ever let Ford play his natural game, just doomed him to the kick, kick, kick. I'd like to think SB has shook off that mentality.

Re: Tom Youngs

Fingers crossed that Tiffy comes out the other side. Life can be so very, very cruel. Thoughts of everyone in both the rugby and I'm sure the broader community are with the whole family. Val lives with the thought of her cancer returning. It is a very cruel illness. I hope it will be one of those -...

Re: Rugby tonight

Being a massive fan of the Caspian Tiger and sadly watching it brutally hunted into extinction and its habitat destroyed alongside many other species of tiger I find it disgusting that fans in our crowd can wear a tiger on their head like some sort of sick trophy! I'm gonna write a strongly worded ...

Re: Worcester (A) 16th October - 3pm

Funny …but it makes me wonder how we can comment on our progress unless we’ve actually seen it for ourselves. Of course results and stats speak for themselves and within that we can also draw differing conclusions but to credibly remark on this forum I think members must at least have watched the :...

Re: 4G Pitch bans? Leggings are allowed

Thanks, all, for the links - some interesting reading here. The contradictions are not strange at all, Scott, that’s how scientific knowledge progresses - in messy, inconclusive steps with different outcomes according to different methodological approaches. To be really confident about this issue, ...

Re: Reffell still not in the Wales Squad

This feels like Pivac putting pressure on Reffell to sign with Scarlets Yep,Davis isn’t getting any younger Davies isn't getting any younger but Davis and McLeod are under 25 and both opensides. Hopefully they develop and we retain Reffell a bit longer. Pivac and the WRU have made promises to non-W...

That's such a terrible side. Our recruitment has been awful, how have we let it get to this? :smt001
Too long standing on the Crumbie rail, listening to the old farts around the tunnel. :smt036

Re: 4G Pitch bans? Leggings are allowed

Rugby, a game that should be played on grass and or mud nothing else, they talk a lot about reducing injuries but persist with plastic pitches that are faster, harder and catch the studs on quick direction changes, planned or unplanned, many players avoid them to prolong their careers, there should...
