Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

TBH if I was Rowe/Baxter I'd be in meltdown. Got off VERY lightly. Pity they didn't uncover the regime when Smit was there.

Re: Is Boladau worth keeping long-term?

Good receiver, comparable to Kala in attracting three tacklers.Did good support work especially supporting Spencer and hitting rucks. A keeper for this season IMO.

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

I believe the user is inferring with all the changes made during the season, people are expecting the team should be winning every game. Not all the new players have been selected and the Internationals have just returned. The return to the days of old will not happen overnight whilst some seem to ...

Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers

Wouldn't risk either Manu or Taute. The pitch is so injurious Pro14 clubs select out their knee/ankle/groin sufferers, just as Chiefs never select Nowell on plastic pitches. An abomination IMO.

The time are reporting that Sarries will not appeal and have accepted the findings and penalties handed out.
But what are they doing re that situation this season, or are they at it again?

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

Blues pitch has seen a few injuries. Players like Ed Slater, Jack Nowell have had season curtailing injuries on similar.Scully had one after moving there. Sudden changes or bad landings turn very bad. Most Pro14 complain of burns from it.

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

I thought the ref competent, and he treated the handbags as what it was. Reminded me of proper rugby. I thought our second half was better with two bad defensive lapses, but two excellent tries with real ball speed. Our maul should've been used more often down the middle, when we moved from that are...

Looking forward to being there, and a good teamsheet. If it gels, could be very good indeed.

Re: Borthwick

I wasn’t suggesting bringing him back, my point was merely a hypothetical opinion, exemplifying how under resourced Cockers was. Stunning to see the win ratios of Cockers and Deano on a huge number of games. 60+% over an extended period, both sacked. Says a lot for the Board :smt035 Nothing to do w...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Another question, Could a club director buy 4 very very expensive cars and sell them for £1 each to each of the 4 players, who are then at liberty to sell them? Similar he might buy houses and then sell them? Does anyone have an answer regarding the legality of the deferred payment until after reti...

It’s also a relatively good squad, Cockers could have done wonders with this squad. .. Still extolling the virtues of Cockers then!! Obviously your not convinced this debacle started under him!!! Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Would it be breaking the rules if a club signed a contract with a player at £X per annum and only paid them £Y per annum to keep within the cap, whist playing for the club, and deferring the difference until after they had retired? X-Y per annum played. Already been done for years for players outsi...

Raging Bull I don't excuse Cohen from blame, what I do object to is him being targeted solely for blame when others deserve as much or more. And also those on other vehicles who seem to think the name itself justifies the level of harassment he and his family have had. :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 Cohen ...

Re: Heyneke Meyer

Loffreda, amateur though he was, instituted the proper warm-up, which many of the senior players didn't seem to like! While Meyer did coincide with the ELV rubbish, he epitomised dead boring rugby for me, and produced some of the worst displays until last season's clutch (and sidelined Tom Varndell ...
