Re: Hé hasn’t exactly got the best squad . . . . .

I can’t see a win at Worcester I’m afraid. That’s not me being doom-mongering it’s just how they ship the ball in contact is better than ours and while our defence is getting better, they will probably still find ways of getting round us on the outside. The game last year is a poor comparison. Yep,...

To lose Harrison would be awful, but there seems to be nothing in the rumour to substantiate it.
I always said that if the club dropped Smith or Harrison it would surely have lost its way.

Re: Hé hasn’t exactly got the best squad . . . . .

I think the most depressing thing yesterday was the very limited game plan - very little ball of our own so what do we do when we get the ball ? - Ben White time after time takes an absolute age to kick it straight back to Sarries . TBH on the limited view of Simmons thought he was livelier than Wh...

Re: Hé hasn’t exactly got the best squad . . . . .

Two reflections. Yes there are questions about the BoD, and I am of one mind with Sapajo that BK, RU and GG carry most of the blame along with Cohen, Peter Tom and those 'influential senior players'. I don't expect much change there. Having said that it is IMO 2012 when the first failures to spend s...

Re: Sarries next week

Murphy managed to get Taufua to come over Bordeux. He clearly has a vision that is selling the club. Now does he need a better DOR maybe. But people need to give him at least a full season in charge before judging him fully. We have the ability as shown before like beating Gloucester by 20 points. ...

We are playing for 11th at the moment
We're 12 points from relegation, and 3 points from top 6.

But yes we are currently playing for 11th....
Don't let stats get in the way of whiners. We have always been playing to scrape top 6, we will get better.

Only Cole released out of our players
Good for us, poor for England IMO. Wales will target Sinckler now with immediate niggle. Expect lots of flamboyant responses to tackles as well.

I would dearly love to see big Ed Slater back in the Tiger's den.
Should've never gone. :smt009

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Sinckler's incident was never a yellow card. The only time that would be carded is in a bad-tempered match where the ref needed to get back some control and discipline. I think we got lucky on the penalty try, mind. It was a penalty and almost certainly a card, but didn't look like a penalty try to...

Brizzle have some deep pockets! Yes they have just extended Jordan Crane's contract for another 12 months. https://www.planetrugby.com/news/jordan-crane-signs-bristol-bears-contract-extension/ Indeed they have..... and their supporters are delighted about it and were teaching about his performances...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Welcome back Charlie Clare, good to see Murphy bringing even more former Tigers back into the system to reinvigorate that old Tigers snarl. Wouldn't mind one or two more especially Slater! I am liking the cut of Smurf's jib more and more. It's as if he sat back and watched the BoD founder, picking ...

Rub of the green in what sense?
Pen try and Sink not going to the bin for being silly.
Often critical of Owen's but both decisions correct in normal rugby terms. Sinckler not even handbags.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Rugby player linked Sam Davies to Gloucester if Cipiriani goes but also said we had talks with him. Unless he wants to play 15 you'd have to think that's an odd decision to talk to us. Ford will wear the 10 shirt when fit and Davies isn't built to play 12 so he'd spend a lot of time on the bench. G...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

I think Sam Lewis has the potential to become the next Jamie Gibson, before he decided to bog off to Saints. That one still irks. Given he is one of a very few who features on nobody's social media ( unlike Fred, Ed, Niki, Logo etc) perhaps the gossip about not getting on with the rest is true?
