Re: Best Tigers Team (with a catch)

One thing this has made me realise is we really haven't thrown the net particularly wide in the past with the only unusual area of recruitment being the amount of North American players we've had

You could have Adel Kardooni at 9 who I think was Iranian

6 Paul Ringer who is Welsh
I did think of Kardooni but I wasn't sure if it was cheating being as he played for England A

Best Tigers Team (with a catch)

So I've seen this going around on twitter, name the best team from your club but you can only pick one player of each nationality, so far I've got: 1. Marcos Ayerza (ARG) 2. Benjamin Kayser (FRA) 3. Martin Castrogiovani (ITA) 4. Martin Johnson (ENG) 5. Jim Hamilton (SCO) 6. 7. Josh Kronfeld (NZ) 8. ...

Re: Favourite Players

Anthony Allen and Geoff Parling for me, neither were flashy but both just did everything so well. I'd also throw a couple names out there as players who won't go down as all time greats but who I enjoyed watching in Miles Benjamin and Niall Morris, personally I think both could have been a top draw ...

Re: Favourite matches of all time

I have always held a fondness for the European Cup match against Scarlets at the Walkers Stadium in 2007. My family and I were heading along the road to the stadium and were brought to an abrupt halt whilst one of the row of parked up coaches suddenly emptied a load of Scarlets fans. With each one ...

Re: Favourite matches of all time

I'm kinda surprised nobody has mentioned the game vs Wasps at the Ricoh in 2015 when Bai got red carded and we somehow managed to hold on and get the win, always remember Cockers nearly breaking down with emotion when the full time whistle went after Ayerza smashed Haskell causing a knock on

Re: Favourite matches of all time

Will always remember my first first team game vs Newcastle in 2005 which Tigers won 83-10, will never forget Henry Tuilagi running 40m down the pitch with what felt like half the Newcastle team hanging off him. Still have the match programme somewhere with a rundown of the Newcastle squad which feat...

Re: Could this be the end for some clubs?

Wasps must be at the most risk but to be honest clubs like ourselves who make a lot of our money out of gate receipts could be in for a rough ride

Could this be the end for some clubs?

As pointed out in this article the financial implications on cancelled fixtures for rugby teams could be catastrophic, might we even see teams who are already on financially thin ice fold? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2020/03/11/premiership-clubs-bracing-financial-armageddon-matches-cance...

Re: Will games get cancelled?

Closing schools is dumb as our government has recognised thank goodness. Children seem to only get a mild illness (there have been zero fatalities in the 9 and under age group) and, if parents are working, these children are likely to go to Grandparents thus putting the most vulnerable at risk. Agr...

Re: Will games get cancelled?

There's also the fact that all it takes is one player catching it and entire teams will be unavailable

Re: Will games get cancelled?

I'd be highly surprised if we play again this season, from most estimates this isn't going to go away for 3-6 months and they can't postpone that many games nor can Rugby afford to play that many games without gate receipts

Personally ,I'd make every attempt to keep Kalamafoni - in terms of consistently and effort he's been outstanding.
He's already a done deal as leaving, I thought he may retire but apparently he's going to Scarlets
