Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

if Borthwick keeps injuring Martin we should threaten the RFU for the medical costs and his wages whilst unavailable its getting beyond a joke now they keep sending him back broken What’s getting behind a joke is opinions like this that seem to think there’s some sort of deliberate policy to injure...

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

What is wrong with Watson. ? He looked half pace before the Stormers. Think from his telegraph interview about a month ago it was a back issue Edit: link to the article (minus paywall) https://archive.is/sZ2DQ That was it, heard and interview which he did standing up as sitting down was painful. Exactly, and perhaps Mckellar has been told that it is non negotiable and must remain our main attacking weapon by his Employer :smt022

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Its interesting that the only aspect of our game that Diamond is concerned about is the drving maul and to be honest its our most effective weapon due to our poor attack. I can remember seasons past when the likes of Saints and Chiefs were like us now relying on the driving maul for the main source ...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO

Lifted from X "The RFU has issued a statement on the TMO confusion at the weekend. It says that the TMO has already made a decision before Austin raised the incident. The RFU says it was ‘regrettable’ the conversation was broadcast. However, “TMOs do not actively listen or react to the broadcas...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

The old "we are doomed" brigade out in force as usual, no one seems to allow that we had a team who have not played together for weeks, some players who have not had any rugby at all for weeks ( Youngs, Stewart, Wiese) a late change at 10 and internationals who must be running on fumes (C...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO

A 10 second delay as TMO back up was used by Matthew Carley to ignore a knock on by Gloucester and a potential penalty, quoting his comment as being “Too late the game has moved on” When the referee makes his own rules up, where do we go from here. ? I believe its down to the arrogance of some refs...

Re: Sam Carter

Well Carter was fully kitted up, warming up with Force pre-game vs Reds yesterday, with his legs strapped etc, so has clearly been granted an immediate release! The club ought to be able to get a statement out to fans about a player leaving before he gets his new kit on! Clearly not a priority when...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Considering his age to say that Dolly is past it is genuinely crazy to me. I would even argue Hatherell has been pretty good for us, he's no Wiese but no one is. I thought Hatherell looked great v Quins when you know we had another ball carrier playing with him with Wiese at 8. The biggest problem ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Like the majority I was not too chuffed with last night's performance. I left with 2 key points; 1- Glos looked/were sharper, and 2- Oh those missed kicks! The only pos was 2 league points (4 tries & within 7). Saints beaten, Quins are being thumped; we are not alone in a crowded small league. ...

I agree we need an attack coach but let us appointment someone that can actually coach an effective attack based upon a CV that attests to this fact. We have appointed to many so called attack coaches in name only in the past and the wheels of our attack fell off years ago not just this season.

With less games we need to invest in quality not quantity. I agree, take the strength in depth that Sarries have as an example and if we do truly spend upto the cap then we should be signing quality not quantity. Watson is very bad business and Rogerson, Cracknell, Dolly and Hatherall best days are...
