He is the messia!
Shame Murphy had to depart before we had the pleasure of seeing a performance of that magnitude

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

A team rejuvinated it was a transformation in game plan and performance. The elephant in the room is why did Murphy have to depart before this has happened ???

Re: A Proper Clear Out

Murphy was groomed from the outset for a top job post his playing career by the Board, He had a long and varied training period under Cockers, Mauger and MOC. Indeed he even travelled to NZ to spend time working with Darryl GIbson. Murphy was not set up to fail, the fact is he was given more than en...

Re: Geordan Murphy leaves the club!

Posters refer to Geordans vision, but if anyone truly had a vision to take our club forward it was Pat Howard. That vision was commissioned by and delivered in his report to the chairman. But what did it have to say? Geordan to go? Boris etc etc? I doubt that, my point was where the true vision for...

Sureiy a clear out also implies some form of replacement is needed. I don't think we can know if this is what was needed until we see who the replacements are.
The club have stated that the post vacated by Murphy (Director of Rugby) will not be refilled.

Personally IMO we need one more to roll before calling it a proper clear out.
Who is that " one more" person ?

Re: Geordan Murphy leaves the club!

Murphy gone, Bakewell gone, Phil Blake gone, Boris gone, Rob Taylor gone, Dupay (hope spelling is correct) gone, Simon Cohen gone, Jed Glynn gone - but Mike Ford, the Gloria Gaynor of coaches is still hanging in their by the skin of his teeth and clause 6 paragraph seven of his eldest son's contrac...

Re: Geordan Murphy

After the restart we had a new head coach but did the game plan change? Perhaps we performed better but the game plan seemed largely unchanged. A few interchanges between Nadolo and Steward aside it was more of the same. Perhaps drilled better & certainly fitter but not evolution let alone revoluti...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

What about the impact of GM leaving on those players who allegedly signed largely due to Murphy's 'vision'? I think Genge was one from memory. Unless it was all marketing speak (without substance) to build up Murphy's reputation. Time will tell if and when there is an exodus of some of the world-cl...

What is going on at Tigers, is there internal strife, why are we suddenly getting these resignations, something does not feel right to me? :smt017
Perhaps it was time for him and the Board to part ways and for our club to move on.

I worry where we are heading, I don't want us to become a Saracens clone type team, I would rather us never get back to the top than resort to their methods on & off the pitch.
This could be the thin end of the wedge.
If cloning their methods on the pitch means winning I will happily take it
