Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Steve Borthwick and the Chamber of Oval Park
Cardiff and Llanelli still exist as clubs, albeit in a lower tier. So do Swansea - falling down the tiers slowly - and Neath - almost gone. I remember making the trip to Llanelli in the early to mid 90s to watch Rupert Moon (the cousin of a friend of mine) play when that team were a real force... R...

If we don’t get Quins in the semi, Sarries probably will, and I’d say that’ll be the hardest test for Sarries to pass. Suits me. If they come back from the championship and win at the final, the media love-in will be intolerable!!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone
Not sure Murimurivalu's kicking is good enough to start much under Borthwick. He's always going to go for the Hegarty/Burns option at 15 if Steward is unavailable. In the Premiership this season he's attempted 15 tackles and missed 0. However, he hasn't kicked from hand once. He's also given away 3...

Re: Tigers on loan 21/22
Does anyone know if Jersey's game vs Cov will be live streamed tonight? Am a bit more interested in it now we've extended Simmons and there's no other games on. https://www.coventryrugby.co.uk/jersey-v-coventry-live-stream-booking-info/ That link goes to the match in round 9 in May last year. Silly...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
The salary cap is a choice made by the clubs. The question has to be as to whether it is worth playing in Europe given this voluntary handicap. If Wales drop to 3 regions then we will have a situation where the games are against the mega bucks French sides and the Wales and Irish training squads. A...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00
I think we need to target the win here and secure top spot.. would rather get that sorted and rest players the following week against Wasps knowing we have secured top spot. We don't rest players at home. Want the undefeated league season at home. Ideally Leinster will be the only blot on our home ...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
I have always deplored the fact that provinces come up against clubs in European Cup games. It is not in the spirit of what it is about. Little wonder that Leinster have won it four times, with so many Irish internationals in the side. It was initially intended and still should, about clubs. Why th...

I was at the game too, so only saw the late tackle at a distance on the big screen. But it seemed to me it was both late and a potential card for a shoulder to the chin. In the Premiership/with more scrutiny that could well have been a red.

Currently sat in my campervan in a field 20 minutes south of Calais. Cross back tomorrow after a few weeks travelling. I’ll be at WR on Saturday.
The timing is no coincidence

Unless he plays for FijiTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 7:49 amSounds like a smart move if he can cover during the autumn internationals that would be great. The only international period we lose all internationals at once, his experience will be great

And it’s been a long time since Cullen was at WR. Things have have changed a lot and many times since then.

I’ve loved seeing Nadolo play for us, just like I loved seeing Serevi. Fantastic, an exceptional player we’ve been privileged to see in tigers colours. But players have a lifespan, which I’m convinced Nadolo knows. If he feels it’s time to go, and he knows best, then it’s goodbye and thanks for all ...

Great win for the tigers today dismantling Bristol, meanwhile Leinsters cubs have gone down to South Africa and gone toe to toe with South Africa’s top 2 teams and brought home 2 invaluable losing bonus points assuring our top of the table status for the knock out stages. Really feel the game at we...
