Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
Barnes had an excellent game even though Steward might have knocked on before Freddie kicked the ball out to seal the win! Yeah but a knock on with the clock red is still game over... But, IIRC, it was caught by us in front of Steward. So, penalty and game continues. Having said that, it’s only a “...

Re: Country Road adopted lyrics
If Freddie can sing it loud and proud in front of Twickers and TV cameras and say ‘Who wouldn't sing to this’, and leave Flats and Ojo laughing, it’s alright by me! I can imagine them singing it on the coach home! If you listen again you will hear that he sang precious little and what he did sing w...

Re: Country Road adopted lyrics
For what it’s worth and at risk of annoying the style police, I think its super to have a song that is associated with us. Something to counter saints go marching in and mighty Quins. I’d have to say I agree. I don’t actually care what it is, we just need something. We’ve tried sorting it out with ...

Re: Country Road adopted lyrics
The seemingly endless debate surrounding the words to be sung is somewhat missing the point. As long as the wider world are aware that it’s “our song” and enough people sing it, the meaning is irrelevant. That precedent has already been set. Or would people rather be singing about a chariot or perh...

Try as I might, I just can’t stop comparing the Chessums to the Weasleys. Must be the red hair and the Harry Potter connection.

At least Deano was nowhere near it!
I watched on BTsport. For those, like me, who missed Sir F Burns post match interview, here it is. Brilliant.

And Country/Welford Road must now be part of our culture.

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
What a tremendous win. All the players, coaches and wider staff have put alot of effort in to achieve such a marvellous end to the season. I think I can say to SB, in response to his standard mantra, yes you have put in a performance that the supporters can be proud of. I have to admit here, I alwa...

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
Watched it all over again this afternoon, and a few observations. Dallaglio, what a sourpuss, anti-tigers dick he is. Must be a mate of Stephen Jones. Really struggled to find a good word to say about us. Especially when he said he was happy that Healey would stop harping back to Tiger's glory days....

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
Hello everyone, I had to pop back and post after yesterday's fab result and excitement, so very proud of our lads and the backroom team, everyone really! Had a few moments middle of second half where I thought I'd jinxed them again by hanging up my flag and so on, but what a last few minutes and wh...

Re: Wasps still in the mire
If Wasps went belly up in Coventry, they'd continue to exist in the lower leagues (relegation or selling premiership shares permitting) and another side would get a crack at making a go of it. They could join Richmond, London Scottish etc. Personally, I'd want Pirates. There's a proud and deep seate...

Personally, a bit fed up with the Sarries doing so well from the championship bull. they were never a championship side. They didn’t go down because they were poor, they went down for cheating!

Re: Wasps still in the mire
From the outside it looks like they have never had a sound footing since the game went pro, wrong people in the wrong jobs maybe? Maybe a massive assumption that rugby will fill a stadium no matter what the size. Never saw the point of a massive ground when history shows that only one or 2 clubs ha...
